Facebook Marketing

This thing isn’t just for
playing Farmville …
Facebook Marketing
Are You “in a relationship” with Facebook?
If you’re not, you probably should be. There will be some old curmudgeons who will tell
you that Facebook is nothing but a hangout for teenagers—the Justin Bieber fans and
virtual farmers of the world. But the data says otherwise.

There are 500 million users on Facebook and, according to insidefacebook.com, over half
of those users are between the ages of 26 and 54. That’s a pretty big sweet spot that you
can’t just ignore.

What’s that you say? You don’t need Facebook because you’re trying to market to an older
crowd? Well, you should know that Facebook is the third-most-visited site for Internet
users over 65. So no matter your industry, and no matter your target market, chances are
you can find plenty of interested prospects lingering around on Facebook.

What about Twitter?
Okay, I knew this would come up. Twitter. Tweets. Tweeps. Well, you should know that
Facebook has outperformed Twitter in many statistics, not the least of which is raw dollars
generated. Eventbrite did a study that showed their Facebook posts drove an average of
$1.34 in ticket sales, while their Tweets brought in just $.80. They also found that sharing
on Facebook equaled almost four times the amount on Twitter.

There’s nothing wrong with Twitter … but Facebook is still king. It’s time you began (or
improved) your relationship with the biggest social media powerhouse of them all—the
one that will deliver bottom-line results.

Facebook and the Perfect Customer Lifecycle (PCL)

As you can see, there aren’t too many any phases of the PCL where Facebook can’t have
a direct impact. From attracting traffic to getting referrals, Facebook and Infusionsoft can
work hand in hand to deliver results.
