                                      Marketing Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the President, and consistent with the mission of Girls on the Run
International, the Marketing Manager is responsible for leading all marketing and
communication efforts for the organization to ensure heightened positive awareness and
increased funding for Girls on the Run.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not
prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

      Create and execute a strategic plan for all marketing and PR initiatives of Girls on the Run
       International including, but not limited to: website, social media, collateral development,
       publication writing and editing, advertising and internal and external communications.
      Oversee creation of all marketing and PR materials including but not limited to: council
       marketing templates, PSA’s, annual report, fundraising materials, and 5k series items.
      Develop, write and distribute quarterly inspirational e-newsletter to all stakeholders.
      Create annual Girls on the Run promotional video and oversee distribution to councils.
      Develop RFP and oversee new website vendor selection process.
      Serve as website manager with regard to design, navigation, functionality, content
       development, search engine optimization, ongoing timeliness and accuracy.
      Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy including marketing
       objectives, annual content calendar and growth projections.
      Serve as primary liaison to third party web and online community providers.
      Develop and implement tactics to improve the organization’s connection with stakeholders
       through the on-line community and social media vehicles/content.
      Maintain leading-edge knowledge of emerging internet and social media trends and web
       analytics and recommend new marketing and fundraising ideas to senior leadership.
      Work with online shop page vendor to ensure appropriate products are offered and
       adequate promotion is provided to grow merchandise sales.
      Update media kit and manage distribution to all relevant stakeholders.
      Respond to all media requests and work to secure additional PR opportunities.
      Collect, manage, maintain and report all media attention.
      Maintain online marketing portal and approve council submissions.
      Work closely with Operations Manager to ensure approved vendors and councils adhere to
       branding guidelines in all marketing and promotional materials and apparel.
      Update organizational branding guidelines as needed.
      Facilitate ongoing council training sessions on Marketing and PR.
      Oversee GOTRI relationship with council website vendor.
      Oversees Marketing budget in a fiscally responsible manner.
      Maintain photos, logos, videos, and other visuals.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
   Serve as a role model for GOTR, exhibiting GOTR core values and working to achieve the
    GOTR mission.
   Develop positive relationships with volunteers, community and staff
   Any other duties deemed necessary by the President
