          Operational sessions and definition of an action plan

Context

The aim of this exercise is to implement in a concrete working environment targeting methods and selection
of goods techniques presented to WAEMU’s customs officers the day before.
Consignments arriving at Ouagadougou’s “port” and airport will be selected and controlled according to risks
analysis methods presented to customs officers.
The objective is to confront all stakeholders – customs authorities, police, judges, decision-makers and
trademark owners – to the concrete difficulties linked to the implementation of the current legislation.

                     Detailed presentation of results obtained during control operations, conclusions and
                     recommendations

                     3 participants (customs officer, judge, and trademark owner) will be chosen to present a
                     report on the selection of the consignments controlled. This report will mainly explain
                     the targeting criteria used and the results obtained. Other aspects will be addressed
                     such as the exchange of information and the collaboration with the police and court
                     services in charge of pursuit
