MOSMAN DANCE ACADEMY Production Day Information November 8 2009 THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE, PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BEFORE CONCERT DAY TO ENSURE A SAFE AND ORGANISED EVENT! REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE INFORMATION REHEARSAL - Performers should wear their class uniform to rehearsals. Please ensure your clothing is labelled. PERFORMANCE - Performers should wear new ballet tights and leather ballet shoes What to wear with elastics (Tap dancers will need BLACK tap shoes, Advanced Jazz will need BLACK jazz shoes, no shoes required for other Jazz classes). Please do not arrive with any accessories including: ear-rings, necklaces, facial glitter, hair clips, etc. These items will need to be removed before the performer goes on stage. Performers must arrive at performance arrival time (Matinee 1.10pm & Evening 5.10pm) with make up completed. If you are unsure of make up please contact Miss Karin through our office. Make Up List: Foundation (not required for Pre-School & Pre-Primary), lower eyelid – Make up brown eye shadow, upper eyelid – white eye shadow, black eyeliner (not required for Pre-School & Pre-Primary), black mascara, bright pink blusher, pink lipstick. Most of these items are available at MDA. (Intermediate will need to wear false eyelashes). Please do not arrive with any make up design other than shown in the picture below. All performers must arrive at performance arrival time (Matinee 1.10pm & Evening 5.10pm) with hair in a bun (see picture below). If you require a bun lesson please Hair contact Miss Karin through our office. Performers will only be admitted into the dressing rooms with hair and make up complete. REHEARSAL - Enter via the stage door on the left side of the building (look for our banner). Please follow the signs to your class dressing room and drop your performer off with the class teacher where they will be escorted to the stage. Drop Off PERFORMANCE - At performance arrival time all performers are required to be taken through the stage door on the left side of the building (look for our banner). Please follow the signs to your class dressing room and drop your performer off with the class mother/teacher where they will be changed into costume. REHEARSAL - After rehearsal performers must be collected in the foyer. PERFORMANCE - Act 1 performers MUST BE COLLECTED at interval near the Reg Pick Up Grundy Studio in the foyer (look for our banner). Act 2 performers can be collected at the end of the performance in the same location. To avoid congestion please ensure only ONE PARENT collects each performer. Students will need to eat and rest at various times during the day. Food/Drinks/ The NIDA Cafe in the Foyer will be open from 8.30am to 2.00pm where students can Rest purchase lunch etc. The NIDA Bar will be open from 1.00pm-7.00pm serving light refreshments, snacks and adult drinks. A parent/guardian must supervise their performer outside the rehearsal and Supervision performance times. Limited edition souvenir programmes of ‘The Toy Room’ & ‘The Museum of Dance’ Programmes will be available during the week prior to the performance at MDA studio for $12.00. Please use the timetable on the previous page to find the times you will need to be available on production day. Tick each class/item that you will need to attend and bring with you on the day. These rehearsals are extremely important and ALL students must attend. Rehearsals will be a quick run through to help familiarise the performers with the stage.
