									   How to install Oracle Enterprise Linux or Redhat Enterprise
                     Linux from USB device.
Preface:
      This document will help you install Oracle Enterprise Linux or Redhat Enterprise Linux from
USB device without CD or DVD.

Software Requirement:
           1. UnetBootin: Create USB device to USB Boot devices. Download from:
               http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/
           2. OEL or RHEL iso file.
           3. Network connected to Internet
Steps to create USB boot:
run UnetBootin after download from http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

In Select Version: We choose version which you want to install, (4 32bit or 4 64 bit, 5 32bit or 5 64
bit)
In Type: Select USB device which you plug in to computer.

   2. Change boot USB to boot
      with Redhat Enterprise
      Linux or Oracle
      Enterprise Linux.

After Unetbootin create USB
boot successful, we need to edit
some files to change boot from
CentOS to RHEL or OEL.

a. Open USB device, we will see
some files. At this time, we need
edit file syslinux.cfg to change
boot image from CentOS to
Enterprise Linux. Open file syslinux.cfg and edit to same below:

default menu.c32
prompt 0
menu title UNetbootin
timeout 100

label unetbootindefault
menu label Default
kernel /vmlinuz
append initrd=/initrd.img splash=silent showopts

save file.
b. Copy boot image file from RHEL or OEL iso image file to UBS device.
Open RHEL or OEL iso file with UltraISO or any tools support iso file. In iso file we need copy file:
vmlinuz and initrd.img from isolinux directory to USB device.

    3. Copy RHEL or OEL iso file to USB device.
Structure of USB device:




   4. Boot your server and change boot order to boot from USB device first in the computer Bios.
   5. When choose source for install, select local Hard drive and choose your USB device.

   6. Select USB drive and click OK to continue


Note: At screen choose install Boot loader. Please check install boot loader to local hard drive, not
your USB driver (default). If not when you install complete unplug your USB device, the
