Clearing six miles for hiking trails, collecting old tires, picking up junk, are just a few of the tasks done by volunteers to
help bring the 2,910 – acre park, Chattahoochee Bend State Park, to existence. This land in Coweta County bought by
the state lay unused for years. That is, until volunteers and locals rolled up their sleeves and sparked an interest in
creating Georgia’s newest state park.
