 Are you responsible for disposals?
Smart Disposals (Bolton) 15th June 2005

• More than 55,000 Public Sector premises
  in the UK
Any producers of HW should by now have
registered with the Environment Agency as a
              Hazardous Waste Generator
                         or risk being fined!
Without an EA registration number it will not
be possible to have HW moved legally.

Smart Disposals (Bolton) 15th June 2005

Every education establishment, emergency
service, health trust, prison, office, council and
government building should be registered and
have been issued with a code from Environment
Agency.
DSA offers a compliant Disposal Route through
its Partnership with Industry Specialists.
There are exemptions but any premises that generates
more than 50Kg of HW a year should be registered.

             Core business
Smart Disposals (Bolton) 15th June 2005

• The DSA‟s core activity is to supply an
efficient disposal route for surplus material
• Disposals is a by-product of the
procurement cycle; it is fraught with risk if
  done incorrectly and expensive to
administer when done in a fragmented
  manner
