The most common mistake most brides make when
trying to lose weight for the special day is to restrict calories. Day after day of feeling hungry and deprived along with the stress of making decisions for the wedding leads to a very unhappy bride, in what should be the happiest time of her life. Not only does not eating enough cause moodiness, but it can trigger binge eating and weight gain! When the body is not getting enough calories, the metabolism goes into, what I like to call, ‘survival mode’; rather than shedding unwanted pounds through constant restriction, the body begins to store the food that it receives. This is why the body stores fat - because it is not fed with regularity! In short, your body doesn’t ‘know’ when it will get food again so it stores as much as possible. In order to shed unwanted weight consume healthy, whole
foods, from each food group, on a regular interval throughout the day. Here are a few tricks to rev up the metabolism by eating more: ♥ Refrain from eating three square meals a day and instead have six smaller meals. ♥ Consume plenty of fruits and vegetables, as these foods have very little caloric value but lots of fiber, which keep you full longer. ♥ Eat every two and a half to three hours to keep the furnace burning. Losing weight and getting in the best shape of your life takes time and a commitment you have to make to yourself. Eating an abundance of whole foods often will allow you to look your best and have fun while doing it.
