Name:______________________________ Thank You Letter Write a thank you letter to someone who you feel deserves it. For example, you may wish to write to someone who gave you a gift, a teacher, a coach, a friend, Deputy Dave, or the guest speaker from your D.A.R.E. assembly. Your letter should: 1- Be written in the proper friendly letter format. 2- Include an opening paragraph that thanks the person you are writing to and lets them know why you are thanking them. [at least 2 sentences] 3- Have a second paragraph that goes into more detail about why you are thanking them. For example, why was the gift they gave you so great? Why are they such an inspiration to you? What makes them such a great friend? What did they do that you appreciate so much? [at least 5 sentences] 4- Have a closing paragraph where you thank the person one last time and perhaps give them a compliment. [at least 2 sentences] 5- Include a closing and your signature. 6- Be very neatly written with no smudges or words crossed out. 7- Have this sheet attached to your final copy.
