Hotel Responsibilities
Project Name: DES006
Created On: 28 Sep 2007
Hotel Responsibilities & Assumptions
Hotel Responsibilities:
• Ordering and installation of new Internet Circuit as well as all necessary demark extensions so that the router can be located in the MDF.
• Provide and install all necessary floor and/or wall mount racks and patch panels (CAT5E ) in the MDF and IDF as outlined in the documentation.
• Installation of (15) CAT5E cable for Wireless Access Points (WAPS) (see WAP Location information for location of radios). The CAT5E will be terminated in the MDF/IDF in a patch panel
installed in the rack that will house the HSIA equipment. The patch panel will be labeled so the location of the radio can be easily identified. The radio end of the cable will be terminated
with a biscuit RJ45 jack. The length of the CAT5E runs will not exceed 300 feet.
• Terminate all CAT5E wiring from the guest and meeting rooms in patch panels installed in above mentioned rack(s) that will house the HSIA equipment.
• Provide a dedicated 20 AMP circuit with 1 quad AC outlet for HSIA equipment with-in 2 feet of the proposed MDF/IDF HSIA rack(s) outlined above.
• The WAPS will be installed above suspended ceiling tiles or in existing access panels in the "bullnose". If suspended ceiling tiles or access panels are not available at a designated radio
location the hotel will install an access panel. This proposal does not include enclosures for wireless access points.
• Property is responsible for the 3rd party cabler to mount all racks and patch panels. MDF gets the 21 RU wall mount rack and the IDF get the 13 RU wall mount rack.
• Property is responsible for securing individual room arrangements for engineer(s) for the duration of the installation. The property agrees to incur all room tax, reasonable and customary
food and beverage expense (alcohol excluded).
• Property shall provide the services of a Hotel representative to provide escort and access to guestrooms during pre-arranged periods for the purpose of guestroom installation and testing.
• Property will distribute the HSIA collateral in the guest rooms.
• Property is responsible for any patch and paint post installation including speaker grills or installed hatches.
Assumptions:
• This design assumes 2 wiring closets. The IDF will be connected to the MDF utilizing CAT5e
• Speaker grills to cover AP mount location holes are included in the installation services price.
• Installation pricing assumes one visit for the site survey and the installation.
• This design assumes that only one CAT5E run per guest room will be terminated in an Ethernet switch for Internet connectivity. The current design allows for up to 112 10/100 Ethernet
HSIA access port connections per IDF and up to 65 10/100 Ethernet HSIA access port connections in the MDF.
• HHC HISA collateral (In-room literature, patch cord hockey puck weights, and patch cords) will provided by the property.
• Taxes and shipping charges are not included.
