2010 Sir Terry McLean National Sports Journalism Awards
Judging in the various categories will be carried out following the closing date. Three finalists will be chosen in each category. The 2010 Sir Terry McLean National Sports
Journalism Awards Dinner will be held at the Spencer on Byron Hotel, Takapuna, Auckland on Friday 3 December.
Competition Rules (Terms and Conditions)                                                                                                4. Entries for photo categories to be submitted as high resolution jpegs on CD. No prints accepted.
1. Judging is conducted by the NZSJA. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.                         5. An editor’s or station manager’s signature is required to confirm work submitted and in the case of the Young Writer Award that
                                                                                                                                           the writer is either under 25 years of age (as at 29 October 2010) or has spent no more than three years in journalism.
2. Entries must meet all criteria specified in this brochure. Entrants must fill in and send the entry form included in this brochure
   with supporting material, and the $40 (single entry) or $55 (multiple category entry). Make cheques payable to the NZSJA.            6. Entrants must pay a $40 or $55 (multiple entries) administration/entry fee to the NZSJA. Note: This entitles the entrant to attend

3. Entrants agree that their portfolio may be used by SPARC at no cost in promoting benefits of sport for all New Zealanders.
   Permission for use of material will be requested by SPARC and acknowledgement given to entrants when material is used.               7. The awards are open to all full time or freelance journalists, broadcasters and photographers.
   Material must be the entrant’s own work.                                                                                             8. One entry only permitted per category. Entrants may, however, enter in more than one category.

All entrants will be sent confirmation once their entry has been received.
