Top Companies for Leaders 2009 Study
“Leaders aren’t born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work.”
vince Lombardi One of American football’s most successful coaches
Being A Top Company for Leaders Means Something to everyone Who Impacts Your Success
to the Board and CEO, it means leadership capability, succession and ultimately organizational performance. to your emerging leaders, it means your company takes leadership and career development seriously. to your HR team, it means they have implemented people practices that support business success. to your employees, it means they have strong leaders who will drive their performance and personal development. to potential employees, it means your organizational values and brand attract the best talent. to your shareholders, it means better business results that deliver shareholder value.
You are invited to participate in the Top Companies for Leaders 2009 Study
Initiated in 2001 by Hewitt Associates, Top Companies for Leaders is the most comprehensive study of leadership practices around the globe. this year, we are excited to be working once again with FortUne magazine, our global media partner for this research, and The RBL Group. Founded by thought leaders Dave Ulrich and Norm Smallwood, The RBL Group is a firm dedicated to helping clients deliver strong leadership and strategic Hr capability. Leadership, more than ever, is the single largest determinant of competitiveness in business. And while there is a lot of research globally on what makes a good (or bad) leader, there is very little thought leadership on the issue of Leader Building – the discipline of creating a robust pipeline of leaders for future success. In the context of global demographic shifts and the ongoing talent crunch, it is becoming increasingly challenging for companies to master this discipline. Companies that excel at leader building gain an edge over competition because they enjoy a surplus of leadership talent in their pipeline and a strong leadership brand, even in the most demanding talent markets. What do they do differently? What makes their success sustainable? What impact does this ability have on their financial health and success?
