Summary of current technology needs on our campus:
Williams Campus is basically between early tech and the developing stage according to the survey on the STAR CHART.
We have
had several turnovers in teachers in the last 9 years. Nine years ago, we were a very strong technology integrating
campus. However,
today we have many new to the district or new first - third year teachers who are still learning curriculum and district
policies. Many
are ready and wanting to take the next step of adding more technology to their lessons. Most of our staff uses
learning.com and other
web-based lessons. We have several classes using some reading programs online. We used Lexia and My Reading
Coach. Both programs helped our students in reading. We used a trial version of ixl.com for math. Our PTA is going to
purchase a license for us to use next year. We also bought several subscriptions for Aha Math. With our new
administration we have been given the liberty to use our IPG's as a guide and the freedom to include more integration of
subject areas and technology.

Staff Development Needs
We currently have a computer lab with 25 computers. We used our new allotment from 2005 to first fill the lab. We have
two mobile
carts. Since most of our fifth grade classes have more than 25 students one of the carts will always be in the lab when
fifth grade is scheduled. The other times the carts will be available for check out. We have been putting most of our newer
computers
in grades 2-5. Many of our computers in EC, PK-1 are nearing end of life. We have had to start redistributing the

computers from the
other grade levels so that the EC-1 have newer working computers. We have enough projectors now that each grade
level can have a
projector checked out. Our music and art teachers have expressed a desire to have the ability to project things from the
computer as
well. Each grade level needs laptops to go along with the projector. Having two laptops and two projectors per grade level
would be
valuable so that teachers may present lessons using the latest information available via united streaming and other
modes of
information more current than that afforded by most of our textbooks. We currently only have 2 still and 2 video cameras.
More
cameras are needed for recording of student products and presentations. We would like to have the ability to allow our
students to
compete with others in film making, using relevant pictures in powerpoint and word processing, database projects and
even publishing
their own books with technology assistance. Our staff needs training in the areas of using United Streaming, using ipods
and
podcasting, using interwrite boards, using inspirations software for graphic organizers and other applications, using
powerpoint to
make presentations, using comic life, and other programs that the district has made available. We need to be able to see
the seamless
integration of technology into the classroom both in the lab and in the classroom. We have had training in the use of aims
for analyzing student performances and progress. Teachers need to know how to use the database of UOP's so that can
have an idea how to use technology integration without having to re-invent tons of lessons. A few of our teachers need
training on how to use heatweb to report technology problems. In the future, our staff would also benefit from training on
how to use online learning.

Future Vision and Direction
In the future, our campus would like to have more teachers using technology for student made projects and not just as a
tool to play
games. We would like for each grade level to have a least one project per nine weeks that integrates technology into the
curriculum.
Our campus focus for next year will be math and science. Our campus will need to make better use of the programs that
have been made available by the district including using United Streaming. Students would be provided with an
opportunity to use word processing, power point, excel, inspirations, and other programs appropriate for that grade level.
We would like for our students to be able to plan and produce a film that can be entered in the yearly digital film contest.
We hope that in the future our students will be able to broadcast the morning announcements live to all our classrooms.
Through our Primetime after school program we will continue to offer video production and other computer applications.
