Tokyo, July 2005 - Japan‟s first Conrad hotel, the Conrad Tokyo, is scheduled to
open on July 1, 2005. The luxury hotel, located just five minutes walk from the
world‟s most expensive real estate in Ginza, will combine legendary Conrad
excellence with a sense of Japanese comfort and inspiration while boasting
exemplary design and architecture. The hotel will occupy the top ten floors of the
Tokyo Shiodome Building, a 37-story multi-purpose tower offering panoramic views
over Hamarikyu Gardens, Rainbow Bridge and the Tokyo Bay.

The Conrad Tokyo will cater to both the corporate and leisure market, and will
feature 290 luxurious rooms (of which 68 are suites) with an impressive
industry-leading minimum room size of 48m², three-metre high ceilings and full
ceiling-to-floor windows. All rooms are modelled on a “City” or “Garden” concept
according to their views, and provide exclusively fragranced and designed amenities
for both room concepts. Guest room features include 37-inch plasma screen
televisions, satellite channels, DVD players, Video On Demand, wired and wireless
high-speed Internet access and wireless phones in all rooms for use throughout the
hotel. All bathrooms feature two sinks, rain showers, a separate toilet and
freestanding bathtub.

The Conrad Tokyo offers the largest banquet facilities in Shiodome, including two
state-of-the-art ballrooms and six banquet and meeting rooms equipped with the
latest audio-visual equipment. The chapel, designed in white granite and mother of
pearl, evokes an image of crystal-clear water and purity, and provides a new venue

to host glamorous services for Tokyo‟s betrothed.

Exceptional dining is found at four restaurants and one bar & lounge, the highlights
being the modern French restaurant “Gordon Ramsay at Conrad Tokyo” and the
brasserie “Cerise by Gordon Ramsay” by London‟s legendary 3-star Michelin chef
who provides a culinary and versatile destination featuring open kitchens and
distinctive sections that welcome fine dining as well as all-day dining experiences.

The Chinese restaurant “China Blue” features a spectacular 8-metre walk-in wine
cellar, and offers a new experience of contemporary and avant-garde Chinese
cuisine with a wide selection of tantalising dishes prepared by a renowned Chinese
chef, Albert Tze Wai Shin, the former Executive Chef of the 5-star Four Seasons
Singapore‟s “Jiang-Na Chun” restaurant. The Japanese restaurant “Kazahana” is
divided into three different sections based on the themes of Kaiseki, Sushi and
Teppan, and features three private dining rooms available with Tatami or wooden

The Conrad Tokyo‟s 1,400m² spa and fully equipped fitness complex is the largest
and most exclusive hotel Spa in Tokyo. It features modern Japanese design that
evokes tranquility while employing western treatment methods exclusive to the
Conrad Tokyo. Featuring 10 treatment rooms, the luxurious Spa was conceived
in a modern style where lines are pure and colors are soft and calming. Using grape
seed aromatherapy from California‟s Napa Valley Spa as well as natural
bio-cosmetics engineered by Germany‟s Dr. Spiller, the Spa offers care treatment
and essential techniques that relax the mind and body, harmonise the silhouette,
revive the skin and generally preserve youth. Japan‟s first “Sumie-style” 25-meter
indoor swimming pool is finished in pure black, incorporating the designs of the
traditional paintings that blend in harmoniously with the Conrad Tokyo‟s

Shiodome is an inner city office, retail and entertainment development project located
mid way between Ginza, the world‟s most expensive real estate, and Tokyo‟s famous
Hamarikyu Gardens. The precinct has excellent infrastructure including 3 subways and
train links within five-minute walk, direct expressway access to Rainbow Bridge, and
easy connections to Haneda and Narita Airports as well as Bullet train terminals. Tokyo
International Forum is located nearby, while Tokyo Big Sight, the city‟s largest
exhibition site built in the ultramodern district of Odaiba, is a short train ride away.
Given its immediate vicinity to Ginza, the Tsukiji fish market and the serenely
spectacular Hamarikyu Gardens, Shiodome is rapidly establishing itself as a prime

tourist destination within Tokyo.
