New updates from Asus Eee Pad Transformer Released

Is it a tablet or is it a laptop? It’s both! This week saw the release of Asus’ Eee Pad
Transformer, the company’s way of trying to bust into the tablet market via the only way it
knows how: laptops.

Out now in Taiwan, the Transformer is looking pretty good. The Eee Pad as a tablet has all
the specs of the standard Android tablet nowadays: 10.1 inch display, Google Android 3.0
Honeycomb and NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor. However, it does have a few
additional touches like a 1280 x 800 pixel IPS Gorilla Glass display and Asus Waveshare
software that integrates media and social networks. It’s also got a 5MP rear camera and a
1.2MP front facing camera. Additional specs include up to 16GB or 32GB of storage, 1G of
RAM, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1. It’s also got some standard bells and whistles
for tablets like a G-sensor, light sensor, gyroscope, e-compass, and GPS and, of course,
support for Adobe Flash Player 10.2.

The biggest peripheral that it has is the keyboad dock. It fits clean and tight – and add over 7
hours of operating time to the batteries.

Current price tag for the tablet is $ 500. If you want the keyboard dock, shell out another $
No international release date yet, but you can order direct from Taiwan.
