climbed up into a sycamore tree in
order to see Him, for He was about

8
      God does not play favorites

    • Zacchaeus would not be a likely
      candidate for conversion.
     –"...a man that is a sinner." (v. 7)
    • Luke 3:13 "Collect no more than
what is appointed for you.” NKJV

9
              Acts 10:34-35

     most certainly understand now that
God is not one to show partiality, 35
but in every nation the man who
fears Him and does what is right is
               welcome to Him."
10
     God does not play favorites

 • We must realize God is God,
   and we're not!
–The Jews would have had Jesus
to play favorites – Luke 19:7
–Jesus’ answer to this attitude is
      found in Luke 19:10

11
              Luke 19:10

“For the Son of Man has come to
seek and to save that which was
                   lost."”

order to see Him, for He was about

rich man to enter the kingdom of

easier for a camel to go through the
eye of a needle, than for a rich man
to enter the kingdom of God." …”
16
             Matthew 19:23-26

“… When the disciples heard this,
        25

they were very astonished and said,
"Then who can be saved?" 26 And
looking at them Jesus said to them,
"With people this is impossible, but
with God all things are possible.”
17
              2 Timothy 3:1-4

“But realize this, that in the last days
difficult times will come. 2 For men

will be lovers of self, lovers of
      money, boastful, arrogant, revilers,
       disobedient to parents, ungrateful,
                    unholy, …”
18
                2 Timothy 3:1-4

         “… unloving, irreconcilable,
            3

        malicious gossips, without self-
control, brutal, haters of good, 4
       treacherous, reckless, conceited,
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers
                    of God,”
19

say to you, they have their reward in
                full. …”
25
          Matthew 6:1-5

“… "But when you give to the poor,
     3

your Father who sees what is done in
      secret will reward you. …”

               Matthew 6:1-5
