The village of Thurmaston is located within four miles of the city of Leicester and
approximately 11 miles from Loughborough. There is a regular bus service to Leicester,
Loughborough, the surrounding villages and the retail outlets within the village.
The village has a large Asda supermarket with a retail park across the road which
houses stores such as Pizza Hut, Dunelm and TK Maxx.

Narrative about property mix:
The area has a mixture of owner occupied properties, Housing Association properties
and Council owned properties.
The council owned properties are a mixture of semi-detached family housing, duplex
properties, flats and bungalows. The majority of the flats and bedsits are in the blocks
located at Offranville Close.
