About ‘all for eve’
‘all for eve’ is the result of a unique business concept developed and launched by George Hammer,
Chairman of The Urban Retreat Group, with the sole purpose of raising funds and awareness for
gynaecological cancer research by donating all net profits from the sale of beauty and lifestyle
products that have been created by third party brands to The Eve Appeal. The idea was born
following the untimely death of George’s sister-in-law Nadia to ovarian cancer in 2008. George was
passionate about doing something that would honour her memory whilst actively helping to make a
difference to lives of future generations of women.

About CEW (UK) Awards
The Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Beauty Awards are the ‘Oscars’ of the beauty industry, and
the awards are nominated for by women who are experts in their field and work within the beauty
industry. ‘all for eve’ had been nominated in four categories and on the 19th April at The
Intercontinental Hotel on Park Lane were announced as winners in all their categories, Best New
Brand (mass,) Best New Make Up (mass,) Best New Hand & Nail Care Product (mass or prestige) and
Best New Bath and Body Product (mass.)

Gynaecological cancers
There are five gynaecological cancers – endometrial, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal.
Every day in the UK 50 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer and 20 women die.
The Eve Appeal’s vision is to help enable a future where fewer women develop and more women
survive gynaecological cancers, as such, continued research and awareness of these diseases is
paramount and is only made possible with the support of initiatives such as these.

About The Eve Appeal Charity
The Eve Appeal was set up to save the lives of women by funding groundbreaking research into
gynaecological cancers.

Every year, a million women worldwide are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer, compared to 1.2
million women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet fundraising and awareness of
gynaecological cancers remains low. The Eve Appeal is determined to change this.

The Eve Appeal disseminates information about the research it funds; raises awareness and provides
information about gynaecological cancers; contributes to the development of policy and campaigns
and works in partnership with others.
