Executive Summary

The purpose of this document is to outline the objectives and scope of this project and gain approval from all
project stakeholders. This document includes identifying the key stakeholders, the objectives, the critical
success factors, the constraints and assumptions, the implementation approach, the risks, the change control
process, and the communication plan for this project.

The objectives of this project are as follows:

Implementation Approach

Project Issue & Change Control Process
The process for managing the various project issues as well as the process for managing project scope change
requests is documented in The Project Issue and Scope Management Process Guideline Document. The
Executive Project Sponsor and the Executive Steering Committee must approve all scope changes, which have
first been approved by the Project Team. A list of all issues and scope change requests will be maintained on
the project web site.


Project Communication Plan
The process for communicating the various aspects of the project is documented in the Project Communication
Plan Guideline Document. The Executive Project Sponsor and the Executive Steering Committee must approve
all scope changes. Periodically throughout this project, project updates will be given to appropriate standing
departmental meetings:
