   WARN THE PERSON NOT RUB EYES
   WASH YOUR HANDS & PUT GLOVES ON
   STAND BESIDE CASUALTY & STEADY
    HEAD
   SPREAD THE EYELIDS APART
   SHINE A LIGHT ACROSS THE EYE
   LOOK FOR A SHADOW OF THE PARTICLE
   REMOVE WITH A MOIST TISSUE OR
    CLOTH

   IF CONTACT LENSES, REMOVE FIRST
    FIRST AID FOR AN
    EMBEDDED OBJECT
 CLOSE THE EYELIDS & COVER THE
  AFFECTED EYE WITH A GAUZE PAD
 EXTEND OVER THE CHEEK
 SECURE IN PLACE WITH TAPE
 KEEP HEAD IMMOBILIZED
 OBTAIN MED AID OR TPT LYING
  DOWN
 GIVE ONGOING CARE

    FIRST AID FOR LARGE
    EMBEDDED OBJECT
 LAY THE CASUALTY DOWN
 PLACE DRESSINGS AROUND THE
  OBJECT
 ENSURE NO PRESSURE ON OBJECT
 IMMOBILIZE THE HEAD
 TPT ON A STRETCHER
 GIVE ONGOING CARE

 DO NOT TRY & REPLACE EYEBALL
 COVER WITH A MOIST DRESSING,
  CUP AND BANDAGE
 LAY THE CASUALTY ON A
  STRETCHER
 TPT TO MEDICAL AID

 WASH HANDS AND PUT GLOVES ON
 SIT CASUALTY DOWN WITH HEAD
  TILTED BACK AND TURNED
  SLIGHTLY TOWARD THE INJURED
  SIDE
 IF DRY POWDER BRUSH AWAY WITH
  A CLEAN DRY CLOTH, DO NOT USE
  BARE HANDS

    CHEMICAL BURNS

 PROTECT THE UNINJURED EYE
 GENTLY FORCE THE EYELIDS
  APART
 FLUSH THE EYE WITH COOL WATER
  FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES
 COVER THE EYE WITH DRESSINGS
 WHEN BOTH EYES ARE AFFECTED
  COVER ONLY ONE EYE

 GET MED HELP ASAP
    INTENSE LIGHT BURNS

 WASH HANDS AND PUT GLOVES ON
 COVER BOTH EYES WITH THICK,
  MOIST, COOL DRESSINGS
 SECURE IN PLACE WITH TAPE OR
  NARROW BANDAGE
 REASSURE THE CASUALTY
 OBTAIN MEDICAL HELP
 GIVE ONGOING CARE

    HEAT BURNS TO EYELIDS

 WASH HANDS AND PUT GLOVES ON
 COVER EYELIDS WITH MOIST, COOL
  DRESSINGS
 SECURE IN PLACE
 GET MEDICAL AID
 GIVE ONGOING CARE

   WHEN COVERING BOTH EYES
    ENSURE THAT YOU INFORM THE
    CASUALTY OF ALL HAPPENINGS
    AND WHAT YOU ARE DOING. IF THE
    CASUALTY PERSISTS ON NOT
    HAVING BOTH EYES COVERED, DO
    NOT COVER.
