TITLE CARD

LONDON

EXT. LONDON – MORNING
We view London around Canary Wharf; The three towers, in the
distance the Millennium Wheel.

INT. EXCUTIVE APARTMENT CANARY WHARF – MORNING
A huge space with beautiful gleaming marble floors, ornate
carvings. A panoramic view of Canary Wharf, the City, the
River Thames.
The living area looks like a picture from G.Q. Magazine,
everything is of the highest quality.

INT. BEDROOM – MORNING
Impeccably decorated, obsessively clean.
SAM HARPER 41, ruggedly handsome, short dark hair, toned,
tanned, stands on the balcony watching the sun rise over the
horizon, the street lights go out in shifting waves.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               I’m a hunter, I like to roam
               Life is sweet, sometimes I
               have to pinch myself, because
               I can’t believe how lucky I am.

He turns to look inside, on his bed lays ANGELINA, late
twenties, long dark hair, beautifully curved, she’s snoring.
Sam moves to the bathroom.

INT. BATHROOM – MORNING
Red and white marbled walls. Sam at the mirror brushing his
teeth.
                          SAM(V.O.)
               Three and out, they’re my rules.
               Take a woman out three times,
               and on the third date if she
               doesn’t put her hand in her
               pocket.......then. Why are we
               always expected to pay?
               Principles.

Angelina stands naked at the bathroom door, her tongue moves
around the inside of her mouth, she holds out her hand.

                          ANGELINA
               Can I?

Sam pulls open his cabinet door, 20 new brushes in boxes
stand in the corner, he pulls one out, gives it to Angelina.

                          ANGELINA
               You know where my mouth’s been.

Sam smiles, she grabs his arse.

                          ANGELINA
               You’re an amazing lover.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               My second rule, never go out with
               married women, come on there’s
               enough single ones about.

INT. SAM’S BEDROOM - MORNING
Angelina pulls on a short blue dress that hangs neatly over
a chair.
Sam puts on his silver Rolex.
Angelina walks to the door, turns to Sam.

                          ANGELINA
               Can I put my shoes on now?

Sam checks to see where she’s standing.

                          SAM
               Just don’t step on the rug.

                          ANGELINA
               I enjoyed our first date,
               hopefully we can do it
               again?

Sam smiles.
                          SAM(V.O.)
               It’s funny when women say they
               never sleep with anyone on a
               first date, press the right
               buttons and they’re like jelly
               on a plate.

INT. SAM’S BEDROOM – MORNING

Sam cranks up his Bang Olufsen, the apartment engulfed in
music, he pulls out his stainless steel state-of-the-art
vacuum cleaner, pushes back-and-forth, back-and-forth.
STOPS, studies the pillow, starts to vacuum up Angelina’s
long dark hairs.
                          SAM(V.O.)
               Will I see her again? I’m a
               hunter, I love the chase.

Sam rolls up his sleeves, starts to dust the bedroom
cabinet.

EXT. CHIGWELL COUNTRY LANES – EARLY MORNING
Sam is driving his old 1972 SILVER GREY PORSCHE 911.
U2 blasts from his stereo. “I STILL HAVEN’T FOUND WHAT I’M
LOOKING FOR”, Sam is energetically singing along.

                         SAM
             “I have climbed the highest mountain
              I have run through the fields
              Only to be with you
              Only to be with you
              I have run, I have crawled
              I have scaled the city walls
              These city walls
              Only to be with you
              But I still haven’t found what I’m
              looking for.
              But I still haven’t found what I’m

EXT. GREEN FIELD – EARLY MORNING
Sam is looking through a telescopic bow sight, beside him
his best friend HARRY HOLMES 43.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               I’m 41, divorced, two kids that
               I haven’t seen since... Since...
               I make lots of money, chase lots
               of women, and not always in that
               order, I’m a big knob in media,
               and you thought I was talking
               between the sheets. In my game
               there’s hundreds of single women,
               it’s the hours, not good for
               stable relationships, they
               love rich middle-aged men that
               shag all night, only I don’t

               come as much as I used to,
               hey I’m getting on.

                          HARRY
               Hey Apollo how many this week?

We see the shape of a female Deer.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               I’m a hunter, I know I’ve told
               you twice already..

Sam draws back the string of his compound bow, he’s locked
on.
Sam releases, it lands dead centre of the marked target,
Harry is looking through binoculars.
                          HARRY
               Jammy bastard.

                          SAM
               You’ve either got it, or you...

                          HARRY
               Least I won’t die a lonely old
               man.

                          SAM
               Rather die lonely, than end up
               with a woman I don’t love.

                          HARRY
               You just haven’t found the right
               one.

                          SAM
               Don’t exist.

                          HARRY
               Shallow, very shallow.

TWO YOUNG ATTRACTIVE FEMALE ARCHERS, walk past, Harry
follows with his binoculars.

                          SAM
               Shallow.

Harry is still looking through his binoculars.

                          SAM
               How’s Nicky?

                          HARRY
               Sorry...

Sam shakes his head, starts to walk towards the women. Harry
heads towards the club house.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               And I’m expected to respect the
               institution of marriage?

INT. THE GYM SOUTH WOODFORD – DAY
NICKY HOMES 32, dark short hair, sits in a pedicure chair,
feet soaking. TANYA FIELD 33, blue stunning eyes, is having
her nails polished.

                          NICKY
               I thought you were still married?

                          TANYA
               Divorced five years, refused to
               move out, so I have.

                          NICKY
               And don’t you.....

                          TANYA
               We slept in separate beds for three
               years.

                          NICKY
               Three.... Jay’s got a friend who...

                          TANYA
               No...

                          NICKY
               But....

                           TANYA
               No...   Forgotten what it’s like.

                          NICKY
               Like riding a bike...

They both laugh.

                          NICKY
               Could invite you both to dinner?

Tanya’s mobile rings, hesitantly she answers.

                          TANYA
               (a beat)
               How many more times, talk to
               our.. My solicitor...

Tanya moves to the door, switches off her phone, Nicky
follows.

                           NICKY
               You okay?

                          TANYA
               Need some air.

                          NICKY
               Let me know.
               (a beat)
               In case you change your mind.

EXT. CARNARY WHARF – MID MORNING
Sam is driving his Porsche, we view the approaching skyline.

EXT. PORSCHE CAR SHOWRROOM – DAY
A corner building PORSCHE MOTORS LTD. The forty foot high
glass surrounds a showroom full of Porsche 911s. And there
elevated on a revolving dial, A 2010 SILVER PORSCHE 911
TURBO, gleaming in the showroom lights. Sam stops outside
looks across at the 911 and grins.

EXT. ZANE MEDIA BUILDING – MID MORNING
A modern building, the sign above the glass doors reads
“ZANE MEDIA”

INT. UNDERGROUND CAR PARK – MID MORNING
CLOSEUP ON A CAR BAY NO. 23
The Porsche SCREECHES to a halt inside the bay. Sam gets out
passes a small parking attendant’s office, Inside stands
TONY FREEMAN, black, mid 40s, slight build, he wears a smart
jacket, on the breast pocket it reads “PARKING” Sam throws
him his car keys.

                          TONY
               Morning Mr Harper.

INT. ZANE MEDIA BUILDING CORRIDOR – MID MORNING
Sam is meet by TRACY, late twenties, blond, he pops a mint
into his mouth.

                          SAM
               Morning Tracey.

                          TRACEY
               He’s been shagging his secretary,
               bastard, I didn’t suspect anything.
               Said he was always tired.

                         SAM
               Sorry.

                          TRACEY
               They’re all bastards.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               Not, how are you?..... Hello....
               Did your mother survive the
               brain tumour? .........
               Straight in, then it’s their
               life story, a woman always lets
               you know when they’ve broke
               up, it’s like they hold up a flag.
               Hey I’m available. Now guys, we hold
               it deep, don’t even tell our best
               mates.

Tracey is stood at the lift entrance, she’s all woman.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               Now look at her, stunning,
               ask yourself why would anyone be
               two timing her? Same old, same old,
               most women are shit in bed, they
               need positioning, bend over here,
               put that on, feel like I’m
               directing traffic most of the time.

                         SAM
               Coffee?

                          TRACEY
               I’m going to the bank lunch time.

                          SAM
               If you ever want to chat.

                          TRACEY
               Mind, I could go tomorrow.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               Remember. He who hesitates,
               masturbates, and I don’t do a
               lot of that, can’t waste it
               can I.

                         SAM
               Twelve?

                         TRACEY
               Great.

INT. CORRIDOR – DAY
Sam and Tracey both exit the lift, Tracey walks in the
opposite direction. Sam is meet by JANE his personal
secretary, early thirties, bright and professional with a
dry wit, she’s carrying a pile of messages and note pad.

                          JANE
               Been playing with your bow?

Sam smiles, puts another mint into his mouth, she’s waving
his messages.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               And if you’re thinking what I
               think you’re thinking, never
               shit on your own doorstep, besides
               don’t think of her like that.

They approach the office, the words “SAM HARPER DIRECTOR”
etched on the door.

INT. SAM’S OUTER OFFICE – CONTINUOUS
Sam is walking past Jane’s desk; he’s looking at her
messages, she hands him his morning latte.

                          SAM
               When did my Ex ring?

                          JANE
               Hasn’t stopped.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               My Ex, remarried, only her
               husband committed suicide, that
               fucked everybody including me.
               Had one girl, one boy. What did
               I know about kids, never wanted
               any, came off the pill, never
               told me, next she was four months
               pregnant. Both were born in two
               hours, it’s like they couldn’t
               wait to get out.

INT. SAM’S OFFICE – CONTINUOUS
The size of a football pitch, leather furniture, a bar, on
the walls expensive modern art, hi-tech gadgets everywhere.
Sam sits in a grand leather chair, his feet on an enormous
mahogany desk, he’s reading the Financial Times.

                          SAM
               Has your mortgage....

                          JANE
               Choosing curtains.....
               (a beat)
               Do you want me to call?

                         SAM
               Who?

                          JANE
               The Ex, how did she ever get
               you to walk down the alse, let
               alone have children.

Jane starts to dial a number, Sam reaches out, hangs up.

                          SAM
               Order me some tooth brushes...

                         JANE
              More teeth than a crocodile.
             (a beat)
              “CHANNEL 7” are here at ten to
              discuss the new network.
              “ASSOCIATE PRESS” at two.

                         SAM(V.O.)

               What can my Ex want? Money’s gone
               from my account, if she wants
               more she will have to talk to
               my Solicitor, at the end of the
               day, it’s just another business
               deal.

                          JANE
               “MEDIA TWO” at four.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               Bollocks, meant to tell my cleaner
               about the bath, made a real mess
               with this little red head, you
               haven’t got to know the details,
               let’s say she was impressed by
               the size of my tub.

INT. HELENA HARPER’S HALLWAY – DAY
HELENA HARPER, late thirties, sharp beautiful feature’s,
tired eyes, she’s dialling a telephone number with one hand,
holding her daughters head NATASHA 14 with the other, she’s
in pain crying, ALEX 12 her brother is beside her, he’s
wearing one sock on his left foot.

                          NATASHA
               I want Daddy.

                          ALEX
               Why d’you want that arsehole?

                          NATASHA
               Shut up one sock, half wit.

                          HELENA
               Please.
               (a beat)
               I’m ringing.

INT. ZANE OFFICE – DAY
Office phone starts to ring.

INT. HELENA’S HALLWAY – DAY
Alex looks into the road, we hear the sirens of an
Ambulance.

                          ALEX
               Mum come on.

Natasha starts to scream again.

                          NATASHA
               I want Daddy.

Helena tries to comfort her daughter.

                          ALEX
               There’s only one person he
               thinks of.

INT. SAM’S OFFICE - DAY
Jane walks into Sam’s office.

                          JANE
               Your Ex is on again.

Sam’s mobile starts to ring, the name Amanda on screen, he
hesitates.

                          JANE
               She sounds really desperate.

Sam presses the key to his mobile.

                          AMANDA(V.O.)
               Do you fancy something hot?

                          SAM(V.O.)
               Now we’re not talking Vindaloo.

Sam puts his hand over the mouthpiece.

                          SAM
               Tell her I’m in a meeting....

He takes his hand away.

                          SAM
               Yours or mine?

                          AMANDA
               Mine, I’ve something special.

INT. HELENA’S HALLWAY – DAY

                          ALEX

               Mum, we don’t need him.......

Helena puts the phone down.

INT. JANE’S FLAT – EVENING
Jane walks in from work looking tired, the flat small,
working class.

                          JANE
               Mum?

Jane walks towards the bedroom.

INT. MOTHER’S BEDROOM – NIGHT
Jane’s mother mid 70s, frail, sickly, sitting up in bed
coughing.
Jane pours medication onto a spoon, feeds it to her Mother.

                          JANE
               We’ll soon be in our new house.

                          MOTHER
               Where would I be without you?

INT. AMANDA’S BEDROOM – NIGHT
Beautiful white soft bed, candles burn in the corner, in the
other a karaoke machine.
AMANDA has in her hand a microphone, she’s singing directly
to Sam, unaware she sounds like a cat on heat.

                          AMANDA
               The first time ever I saw your
               face.

Sam stares, not sure whether to laugh or run.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               Fucking hell, I never knew shagging
               could be so painful.

Sam accidently pulls the microphone from the speaker.
He’s more urgent things to do, they’re all over each other,
ripping at clothes, pawing at flesh, mouths locked; she
arches, moaning, fumbling with his fly. He carries her
across the bed, her legs wrapped around his.

INT. AMANDA’S BEDROOM – NIGHT

They both lay on the bed, Amanda wearing a smile, Sam a
blank stare.

                          AMANDA
               God... You’re the best.. The
               fucking best.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               1,2,3,4,5,6. How long do you
               have to lay here for?

Amanda moves to kiss Sam.
Sam jumps from the bed, grabbing his clothes into a ball.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               The moment I’ve finished I just
               want to go, no kissing, cuddling..

Sam dressed goes to the door, checking his hair in the
mirror.

                          SAM
               I’ll ring during the week.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               Which means I don’t want to see
               you again, but haven’t the balls
               to tell you.

EXT. STREET – NIGHT
Sam looks towards her bedroom light.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               And the other reason.

Sam lets out an enormous fart.

               Fuck me, I don’t think I could
               have held that in all night.

INT. TONY’S OFFICE CARPARK – MORNING
Tony has his back to the door, dusting a picture frame.
                          SAM
               Make sure they give it a good
               clean?

Surprised, he drops the frame smashing the glass. He bends
to pick up a picture of a young girl.

                          SAM
               Check they don’t scratch the
               leather.

                          TONY
               My daughter.

Sam doesn’t look, he starts to walk away stops, walks back
to Tony who’s holding out the picture of his daughter.

                          SAM
               How rude, my mind elsewhere.
               (a beat)
               Pick up all the glass, don’t want
               it trodden into the carpet...

Sam exits, a hand takes the picture from Tony drops it back
to the floor, a size 13 stands on her face, it belongs to
BIG ZACK MOSES, a huge black muscular figure wearing a two
day beard growth.
Tony takes a car key from his back pocket hands it to Zack,
he pushes Zack’s boot off his Daughter’s picture, he’s
handed a bulging envelope.

                          TONY
               This is the very very last time.

                          BIG ZACK
               Dude I remember you saying that
               the last time.

                          TONY
               It’s not about me.

Tony looks at his daughter’s picture.

                          BIG ZACK
               Let’s hope the operation is a
               success for yar shorty.

INT. ZANE MEDIA OFFICE – DAY
The London skyline shines through the windows of a beautiful
conference room.

FIVE DIRECTORS dressed in sharp suits; Hugo Boss, Armani,
they gingerly sit around a large oak table littered with
coffee cups, at the head CHAIRMAN SIR JOHN ZANE, a 60

something silverback in a Saville Row, Sam is addressing the
room.

                          SAM
               We’re going to announce the
               biggest merger in media history.

                          ZANE
               People are nervous.

                          SAM
               Have I ever got it wrong?

                          ZANE
               I’m taking the biggest gamble of
               my life.

Nods of approval from the other Directors.

                          SAM
               Relax, the deal’s done, just sit
               and watch your shares go up.

                          ZANE
               Sam you know I’m just a greedy
               old man who never stops thinking
               about the money.

                          SAM
               That’s why you employ me.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               When you’re put into a position
               of power, people listen, but it
               hasn’t always been like that.

FLASHBACK
A young office Junior Sam is chatting to a beautiful BLOND
SECRETARY, they start to kiss, they sneak into the
stationary room, start to kiss passionately, hands all over
each other.
                          SAM(V.O.)
               As a junior I was going nowhere
               but had a way with women. Samantha
               Baker, five years older, the office
               prick teaser, everyone had tried to
               date her including the MD, then
               along came me, within a week we were

               making love in the stationary room
               until she fell on some drawing pins,
               wasn’t used to such a small prick.
               When you’re seen with beautiful women
               people treat you different, my life
               would never be the same.

Sam is pulling the pins out of Samantha’s rear.
FLASHBACK ENDS.

INT. JANE’S OFFICE – DAY
                          MARY
               You must be excited about the
               new house?

                          JANE
               Ssssh... I’m using half the money
               to buy shares... whatever he
               touches....

                           MARY
               No.....
               (a beat)
               You could be buying furniture....

INT. LONDON TRADING FLOOR – DAY
Lots of SUITED MEN are making frantic tick tack signs,
trying to stem their losses.

                          TRADER NO.1
               Down three figures.

                          TRADER NO.2
               This whole thing doesn’t make
               sense, unless...

INT. SAM’S OFFICE – DAY
Sam is stood by the window; Zane enters, he flexes his jaw.

                          ZANE
               You seen the markets?

                          SAM
               Haven’t had a ....

Sam’s mobile starts to ring, he ignores it, focuses on Zane.

                           ZANE

               They’re down fifty pence...

Sam’s mobile rings again.

                          SAM
               Just let me.....

Sam walks into the corridor to answer.

INT. CORRIDOR – DAY
                          HARRY(O.S.)
               Here’s your chance.

                            SAM
               What?

                          HARRY(O.S.)
               This could be the one, according
               to my wife, she’s special.

                          SAM
               Harry not now, and I don’t need
               you to find me any women.

                          HARRY(O.S.)
               That’s the problem, you keep finding
               the wrong fucking ones.

                          SAM
               Harry I’m going.

                          HARRY(O.S.)
               You’ll regret it.

                            SAM
               Won’t.

                          HARRY(O.S.)
               Fuck, Nicky’s already planned the
               night, come on. Hey I heard she’s
               an angel.

                          SAM
               So’s Mother Teresa.

                          HARRY(O.S.)
               What do I tell Nicky?

Zane steps out into the corridor, his eyes on Sam, he
loosens his tie.

                          SAM
               Tell her I’m feeling hot under
               the collar.

                          HARRY(O.S.)
               Great..... You haven’t even
               seen her. Eight, you won’t
               be disappointed.

                            SAM
               Wait......

                          HARRY(O.S.)
               You’re definitely coming?

                          ZANE
               Are you with us?

                          SAM
               I’m coming.

                          HARRY(O.S.)
               See you then.

                          SAM
               No... Wait...

Harry’s phone goes dead.

                          ZANE
               We’ll talk about it tonight, I’ve
               booked us into the MIRAGE, bringing
               along my young Nephew, promised my
               sister, I’d find him a job.

                            SAM
               Eight?

Jane enters Sam’s office rolls her eyes, Zane notices.

                          ZANE
               I think you’re wanted.

Sam follows Jane into her office.

INT. JANE’S OFFICE – DAY

                          JANE
               She sounds really upset.

Sam dials a number.

                          SAM
               I’m coming.

Sam hurriedly moves towards the door.

                          JANE
               If there’s anything you want me
               to do?
Sam exits.

EXT. GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL – DAY
Sam runs into the hospital entrance.

INT. GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL WARD - DAY
Helena and Alex are sitting around Natasha’s bed, she’s
holding her mother’s hand. Sam enters. The smile of Daddy’s
little girl comes over Natasha.

                            NATASHA
               D-a-d-d-y.

                            SAM
               Princess.

Alex gives his father an awkward stare; they’re
uncomfortable around each other.

Sam sits beside his daughter, she kisses his cheek, Sam
holds her hand.
                           ALEX
                How touching.

A look of ice from Natasha to Alex.

                          NATASHA
               Mummy said you had an important
               meeting the other night.

Sam turns to Helena, nods.

INT. HOSPITAL CORRIDOR – DAY

Sam stands with Helena

                          SAM
               What did they say?

                          HELENA
               They’ve ..... done an M.R.I....

She gathers herself, Sam goes to hold her, she pulls back.

                          HELENA
               There’s a mark around her neck,
               at the base.

You can hear Sam GASP.

                          SAM
               I never....

Can’t find his breath.

                          HELENA
               Would it make a difference?

Helena walks back to the ward.

                          SAM
               Where you going?

                          HELENA
               I’m staying the night here with
               our daughter, and if you haven’t
               got another meeting then maybe
               Alex could come and stay with you,
               or scared he might dirty your
               carpet?

                          SAM(V.O.)
               I realised then for the first time
               what it meant to be a parent.

EXT. SAM’S CAR – NIGHT
Sam is driving, Alex a passenger, they drive in silence.

INT. SAM’S APARTMENT LOUNGE – NIGHT
Alex is sat wearing one sock, the other discarded with his
shoes on the rug, his school jacket and tie thrown on the

couch. Sam starts to dust the table, he lifts Alex’s cup,
cleans the surface.
                          SAM
               Go hang up your jacket.
               (a beat)
               And tie.
               (a beat)
               And what’s with the one sock?

                          ALEX
               It’s called a Verruca.

                          SAM
               Sambuca?

                          ALEX
               Verruca.

                          SAM
               What?... Take your foot off the
               table.

Sam grabs an aerosol, starts to spray the area.

                          ALEX
               The one with the sock.....
               Arsehole......

                          SAM
               What did you say?

                          ALEX
               Verruca.

Alex stands, moves to the door.

                          SAM
               Where you going?

Sam looks around the room uses a plastic bag to pick up the
sock, his eyes follow Alex from the room.

Alex SLAMS the door, Sam motionless holds the sock at arm’s
length.

INT. SPARE BEDROOM – NIGHT
Alex has his bed cover pulled over his head, Sam enters.

                          SAM
               I’m trying, OK, I’m trying.

Alex stretches out an arm from the cover, turns off his
bedroom light.
                          SAM
               So how long have you had this
               Verruca?

The light goes back on, Alex sitting up.

                          ALEX
               You can fool Mum, and Nat..

                          SAM
               What do you want from me?

                          ALEX
               You don’t see it.

Sam is uncomfortable with the sudden intimacy.

                          SAM
               Tell me.

                          ALEX
               Try and work it out, even you
               should be able to do that.

Alex stretches his arm again, turns off the bedroom light.

INT. SAM’S BEDROOM – NIGHT
Sam disconnects his phone from the socket, turns off his
mobile, takes two sleeping tablets, lays on his bed eyes
wide open. Sam’s bedroom light goes back on. Alex is stood
in the doorway.

                          ALEX
               You think you have everything.

Alex turns to go.
                          SAM
               Wait.

                          ALEX
               Do you ever think of anyone but
               yourself?
                                                             24


                          SAM
               You’re twelve years old, what do
               you know?
                          ALEX
               I know you don’t have anything.

Alex exits the door.

INT. MIRAGE RESTURANT – NIGHT
An elegant FRENCH restaurant with tables and chairs to
match, a PIANIST is playing Cole Porter, the wall clock
shows 8.45, Zane looking frustrated, puts down his mobile,
he’s sitting at a table with his Nephew CONRAD WHITE 24
baby-faced, no menacing physical presence, but a sharpness

The dining table is lit by a pair of flickering candles, the
dinner plates bare. Harry, Nicky and Tanya are drinking
wine, the wall clock shows 9.15PM.

                          NICKY
               Men.... You told him eight?

                          HARRY
               YES... He’s not answering his
               phone.

                          TANYA
               Now you know why.

Sam enters the house with Alex.

Sam is stood looking up at the house, Alex looking at the
broken picture frame sticking from his Dad’s pocket. He
turns to his Son.

               one has yet been able to talk to

Light filters through the room, Sam sits by the bed holding

Sam and Tanya are stood outside, Big Zack on the other side
of the Road is walking towards them, he’s different, clean
shaven, smart suit, he spots Sam, holds up his arm to
attract his attention, he notices Bruce spying on them from
a doorway, he slips into the doorway behind.

INT. ZOO’S BAR - NIGHT
A small glamorous bar and dance floor, Sam is helping Tanya
wipe a drink off her dress, the table full of empty glasses,
they’re loosened up, R&B music plays.

                          SAM(V.O.)
               I discovered that Tanya had an

Her hands go to the back of Sam’s hair, they move closer,

Sam and Tanya stand kissing, they flag down a cab, Bruce
steps from a doorway hails a cab behind, both drive into the
night, Big Zack emerges from the doorway behind.

Tanya emerges from Sam’s apartment, across the road Bruce,
he walks in line with her, oblivious, he steps into the
road, a lorry heading towards him, he screams her name.

                          BRUCE
                         (shouts)

She looks across, a bendy bus obscures her view, the sound
of the lorry’s brakes makes Bruce turn, he holds up his
hands the Vehicle inches from him, a hand grabs his collar
pulls him from the lorry’s path, Big Zack pulls him behind a
wall obscured from the street, Tanya shudders, she looks
across to see an empty street.

                          BRUCE

Big Zack tightens the grip around his throat.

                          BRUCE

Tanya starts to cry.

Sam, alone, is drinking a latte.

Harry is still talking to Sam.
