Joint Platform Interior Decontamination (JPID) Description: The JPID system will decontaminate chemical and biological warfare agents on the interior of aircraft, vehicles, ships and interior buildings. Currently no such capability exists. JPID will be a family of systems under two increments. Increment I will provide capabilities to decontaminate interior areas and equipment. Increment II will focus on improving decontamination processes, speed, efficacy, Toxic Industrial Material (TIM) decontamination and other system capabilities. Mission: Joint Force personnel will employ JPID to conduct immediate, operational and thorough decontamination of vehicles, mobile maintenance facilities, aircraft and shipboard interiors, to include sensitive equipment that cannot be removed, in both CBRN hostile and non-hostile environments. Users: US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps (Interest Only) Capabilities:  Process, system or decontaminants must not present any residual health hazards to personnel (i.e., corrosive residue, vapors, etc.) utilizing decontaminated equipment.  Ensure continued use of platform interiors during hostilities that involve the employment of NTA/TIM/TIC/toxin agents.  Not produce any uncontrollable health and safety hazards during decontamination operations  Not degrade the protective properties of IPE  One warfighter will be able to completely resupply/replenish a JPID system in less than 30 minutes  463L pallet compatibility. Aggregate size should conform to High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) cargo-capable series of vehicles. Improvements/ Future Improvements: This system does not replace an existing capability. This system will provide the warfighter with the capability to decontaminate non-removable sensitive equipment from aircraft, vehicles, shipboard and facility interiors. Future program spiral development will provide the capability to conduct thorough decon operations while on the move. Additional information on this system can be obtained by directing your inquiries to: System Manager: Maj Parrish Galloway, (210) 536-5883 or DSN 240-5883, parrish.galloway@brooks.af.mil, 311 HSG/TBR, 7980 Lindbergh Landing, Brooks City-Base, TX. 78235-5119.
