Job Title: Teller I

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Perform financial transactions for members accurately, efficiently, and in a professional manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Greets members with a positive and courteous attitude.
2. Functions as the primary liaison between the Credit Union and members with courteous and
informative service and sales referrals
3. Responsible for competent processing of financial transactions, verifying accuracy, balancing daily
procedures and meeting security guidelines.
4. May balance a portion of the branch business, sell and redeem Savings Bonds or assist in clerical
duties as needed.
5. Will assume additional duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager
**Variability in hours including weekend hours.
SPECIFIC SKILLS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Excellent human relation and clear communication High School diploma
skills
Mathematical skills are necessary GED or equivalent skills and abilities
Ability to process transactions at the accepted pace 1 or more year(s) of retail sales and/or cash
handling experience within the last five years
of employment
ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for the accurate, efficient and professional service to the members in accordance with
Service and Sales Expectations.
Cash and checks handled are the responsibility of the individual teller.
Accountable for understanding and applying TCU policies and procedures relating to the Bank
Secrecy Act (BSA/AML, CIP and OFAC).
Responsible for daily decisions made within parameters set by the supervisor/manager, meeting pay-
for-performance goals and a positive image of the Credit Union.
Must develop a high degree of TCU product knowledge, full understanding of needs based selling,
practice and use of Discovery Selling techniques in accordance with TCU’s MVP Sales Process.
Maintain professional, ethical work relationships.
