EXPERTISE
Frank has more than 25 years of underground and open pit mining experience gained
predominantly within Australia, Africa and India. Frank’s strengths are economic and
financial evaluations, feasibility, pre-feasibility and scoping studies, ore reserve
estimation, life of mine strategic studies, mine planning and design and operational
analysis and review.


SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Frank became AMC’s Manager Underground Mining – Melbourne, in August 2007 and
is directly responsible for 12 principal, senior, and junior engineers and consultants.
Frank has been consulting for AMC for over twelve years now, based in both the AMC
Perth and Melbourne offices.

Previous to that Frank worked for Sons of Gwalia Ltd, as Senior Mining Engineer,
working for their Perth based Technical Services team. It was here that Frank gained his
open pit expertise including Whittle open pit optimisation analysis. Also while in Perth,
Frank was self-employed as a contract engineer consulting to predominantly junior
mining companies based in WA. He also undertook planning for the WA quarrying
Industry.

Between 1983 and 1993 Frank worked for Aberfoyle Ltd, at its Que River underground
lead-zinc mine in Tasmania where he progressed from underground miner through to
Drill and Blast Engineer and 3 years in Zambia as Senior Mining Engineer - Long-term
Planning, where he was responsible for a major capital development programme to
extend the Mufulira mine to 1,400m below surface.
