                       Appraisal Residential Lister / Data Collector ( ARL)

PRINCIPAL              Inspects residential/agricultural properties to
FUNCTION:              ensure that property records reflect current and
                       accurate property characteristics. Collects detailed
                       property data and verifies accuracy of previously
                       collected data. Records new and/or updated
                       information on field documents.

WORK                   This position requires working both in the office
ENVIRONMENT/           and in the field utilizing appraisal and mapping
EXPECTATIONS:          software. The Data Collector generally reports to
                       the office every morning and begins work on the
                       computer (above average skills preferred). The
                       office manager will carefully prepare and plan the
                       field work to ensure the most efficient use of the
                       Data Collectors field time. The job requires
                       significant walking and driving using personal


  1. Verifies residential/agricultural property location by associating information from the
     applicable field document with the map (Desktop office / Laptop field).

  2. Drives to property locations, getting in and out of vehicle. Physically walks around
     property and examines all buildings to determine required property characteristics.

  3. Measures and inspects exterior of residential/agricultural buildings. Inspects interior of
     buildings, if required. Accurately records property characteristics, sketches, and
     dimensions on appropriate field documents.

  4. Takes digital images of properties, if required.

  5. Gathers cost and sales information and records on appropriate field documents, as

  6. Updates grade and condition of buildings, if required.

  7. Maintains personal production records. Completes logs and control forms as required.

  8. Professionally represents Tyler and the client to property owners and other members of
     the public. Fields questions and complaints in a courteous manner.

SALARY RANGE: $10 to $16 per hour plus car allowance

Key Areas of Responsibility
   Coordinate all MRO activities to ensure timely and cost effective purchasing and
     receipt of necessary equipment and supplies to ensure continued operations.
   Conducts research, evaluates findings and makes independent decisions on MRO
     procurement matters for goods & services.
   Interprets and evaluates MRO contract provisions.
   Obtains oral and written price quotes from MRO vendors. Compare quotes with the
     specifications and availability of items and places MRO orders.
   Prepares MRO purchase orders through a computerized system and places orders for
     the purchase of goods and services in a timely manner. Print, fax or email Purchase
     Orders to suppliers.
   Organizes, updates and retains MRO supplier and product information files and
     purchase order records necessary to reconcile with Accounting department.
   Reviews order for completeness, accuracy and compliance with existing policies and
     procedures and ensures all purchasing procedures and guidelines are followed.
   Obtains appropriate MRO commodities in a timely manner.
   Interviews MRO suppliers and evaluation their products and capabilities as a supplier.
   Demonstrates continual effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times,
     streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality
     seamless customer service.
   Research and follow up on questionable invoices and packing slips when assistance is

   Participate/assist with plant inventory activities as required.
   Assist department with procedural and administrative tasks assigned, including cost
     savings, inventory control issues, supplier problem resolution and sourcing.
   Follow up on deliveries as required to maintain production support requirements.
   Adhere to all company policies & procedures.
   Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.
