Andrew Jackson By Drew Zimmerer My father died three weeks before I was born. I had two older brothers and eight cousins. I was born at Waxhaw [between north and south Carolina]. My family moved to Waxhaw from northern Ireland. I was born in 1767 I didn’t like school , but I was very good at reading. I got money from my Uncle I got 1,500 dollars. I tried to make more but lost all of the money. I got a nickname “Old Hickory” in the war of 1812. I had slowes but I threat them well. I had a bad temper and I was brave. I became a lawyer in 1787. I was a general of the Tennessee militia. I was running for president. I had a wife named Rachel she was married for two men at the same time, the first man that she had been married got divorce because she was not legally divorce I got married to her again in 1794. I got wounded to times in a duel because he lost. I told the Indians to move from Oklahoma they moved west to the Mississippi River. I died in 1845.
