Job Title:       Customer Insight Analyst

Grade: B

Department: Research and Customer Insight

Main purpose of job: Support the Customer Insight team in a Research and Analysis
capacity by undertaking analysis and interpretation of data and assisting with project design,
questionnaire development and writing of reports.

Responsible to:            Customer Insight Manager

Budgetary responsibilities:                      None

Responsible for (staff/jobs):                    None

Key Job Responsibilities:
    •    Supporting project managers across the team and independent management of smaller
         projects and initiatives
             o Assisting with project design / specification and with writing research briefs
             o Supporting on questionnaire development
             o Fieldwork including setup of online quantitative surveys and qualitative
             o Cleaning, analysis and interpretation of primary and secondary quantitative and
                 qualitative data, primarily in Excel, Access and SPSS
             o Competitor and Consumer Trends analysis
             o Assisting with writing reports, blogs and presentations, preparation of charts and
                 graphics, checking accuracy and language
             o Liaising with research agencies and internal clients on day to day project
    •    Administrative tasks to support the team as a whole
             o Fielding queries from external organisations and overseeing online FAQs
             o Organising presentations, seminars, and workshops
             o Dissemination of publications
             o Other administrative tasks on ad hoc basis

    •    Working knowledge of research methodology and practice
    •    Confident computer user – email, internet, other software
    •    Strong skills using MS Office applications:
             o Excel – manipulation of data and creation of charts
             o Word, PowerPoint – writing reports and other documents, producing
                presentations which include charts and graphics
    •    Other software skills:
             o SPSS statistical software desirable
             o SNAP survey software desirable
             o MS Access desirable
             o Survey Monkey online survey software desirable
