                                               FLAP COUR
    Aim of the Course:
    Course participants will learn the basic anatomy and
    harvest techniques for the most commonly used local,
    regional and free flaps in head and neck reconstructive
    surgery. The use of fresh cadavers offers a unique oppor-
    tunity to see and explore the anatomy as well as perform
    the operations in an ideal setting. Two participants will
    be allocated to each cadaver and so each will be able to
    perform and assist in each procedure with the assistance
    of 5 experienced Maxillofacial reconstructive surgeons
    as tutors. There will also be a day’s course introducing
    microsurgical techniques on a rat model. The course is

    Those seven experienced Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgeons will be present for assistance to the
    delegates during the entire course.
    Bernard Devauchelle is the visiting Professor and will comment throughout the course adding his
    considerable innovative experience. He will also give an open lecture to the University of Groningen as
    part of the course.
