TOKYO - Michiko Sugano, 63, is fighting a desperate battle against a powerful enemy - Japan's
Asahi Bank, which has sued 17 senior citizens and wants them to pay back the funds they had
borrowed to put in what later turned out to be dubious investments. "The verdict is expected in
January next year. My life depends on the ruling," said Sugano.

In 1989, Michiko Sugano and her husband, Kazumasa, borrowed what today is the equivalent of
US$1 million from Asahi Bank to invest in a hotel project, whose stability the bank had vouched
for. But two years later, the construction company involved in the project went bankrupt. The bank
is now demanding that the couple, financially dependent on their pensions in their old age, repay
the enormous loan immediately.

"Their stories are pathetic," said well-known human-rights lawyer and author Masae Shina, who is
appearing for them. "This case is a clear example of deceit against civilians by the bank." Yet
winning a case against a giant Japanese company is almost impossible, says Shina, who has
defended victims of medical malpractice. "There are no laws in Japan that demand banks must
produce evidence to prove their case against their individual clients," she said. "There is no
responsibility on the part of the lender."

"The government recently proposed new policies to help banks get rid of bad loans. But the prime
minister [Junichiro Koizumi] ignores the plight of individual borrowers who are also victims of the
bubble era," said Shina.
Heather Dedic Page 2 7/12/2011

Sugano recalls how she and her husband were assured by the bank on a number of occasions
that their investment, covered by a loan with a grace period of 10 years, was not a risky one. "We
were shown building plans of the hotel and told explicitly by officials the bank had conducted
feasibility reports and everything was fine. We believed what they said because it was a

respected bank," she said. Most of the loans the borrowers took out were "Free Loan" products,
devised in the late 1980s to promote lending that could be taken out using only property as
collateral. Japan's major banks issued more than a million loans of this kind. Money was lent for
any purpose - variable insurance, stock investments, golf-club memberships.

Comments: Sad state of affairs they are getting desperate, trying to squeeze water out of rocks,
and you know what happens why you try that, yes you get indigestion. Not to mention sore
hands. I think the best thing to do would be to wring all the necks of the bankers, and least one
would feel good momentarily as they saw those fat bugs gasping for air.

TOKYO - So what happened?
Last week, before most everyone took off for a three-day Cultural Day holiday weekend,
Japan's influence peddlers were deeply engaged in verbal combat over a dizzying array of
vital economic and political issues. Most could be rightly considered critical to the
nation's deflation-prone financial health and the fate of its feckless bankers.

When squeezed together into a confusing package of measures to be implemented under
the aegis of Financial Services Minister Heizo Takenaka, the result was a puzzling glop
that could only be loved by its creators. By the Cultural Day holiday's climax - which
was marred by the usual traffic jams and unusually bad, cold snowy weather in parts of
Japan - a reading of responses to the package seems to confirm that.

"Watered-down" and "disappointing" were favored by commentators and editorial
writers. They referred mainly to parts of the many issues that squarely take banks to task
for their profligate behavior in lending to companies that can't pay back their loans. The
criticism was mainly at Takenaka's decision in the last stages of negotiations with the
banks to back off (not down, by the way) from an initial plan to hold banks to stiff
standards in treating the adequacy of their capital, the prime measure of a bank's health.

This was a no-brainer for Takenaka. Big Japanese banks are helped in meeting
internationally accepted standards by loose provisions involving tax treatment when
ridding themselves of bad loans. On average, about 40 percent of big bank capital is in
the form of deferred tax assets. Takenaka dropped a plan to set a date for reducing that to
Heather Dedic Page 3 7/12/2011

10 percent. Eventually banks will conform to more stringent standards. The others will
likely be out of business.

Comments: Chickens is what they are, keep on delaying the inevitable and see what
happens, it looks like Japan has a lot more to hide, each time they put a new person in
charge, he must get a shock and reach out for a tube of oxygen when he looks at the
banks books. All this means is when they fall down they wont just get hurt they are going
to crash and burn

WASHINGTON - Almost lost in President George W Bush's twin triumphs in last week's
Congressional elections and at the United Nations Security Council were two events that offer a
glimpse into the New World Imperial Order being built by the administration.

While senior officials have long insisted that they want to rejuvenate a global system of strong
nation states that exercise full sovereignty over their borders as the preferred alternative to
"global government", the two incidents help illustrate how far Washington will go in interfering with
that sovereignty to further its own interests.

Last Sunday, the Central Intelligence Agency launched a laser-guided Hellfire missile from an
unmanned Predator reconnaissance plane at a car travelling in a remote region in northern
Yemen, instantly incinerating the vehicle and its six occupants, who reportedly included a senior
operative of Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda group, Qaed Senyan al-Harthi.

The attack marked the first time that Washington has used an armed Predator drone to attack
suspected terrorists outside of Afghanistan and in a country at peace with the United States.
While Washington insisted that it had permission from the Yemeni government to carry out the
attack, Yemeni officials declined to confirm that.

The second incident took place two days before the attack, when Mauritius' ambassador to the
United Nations, Jagdish Koonjul, was abruptly recalled by his government after Port Louis
received a complaint from Washington that Koonjul was not lining up with sufficient zeal behind
Washington's latest draft resolution on weapons inspections in Iraq at the UN Security Council.

It had apparently been pointed out to the Mauritians, who export most of their textiles to the
United States, that by signing a preferential trade agreement with the United States in 2000, they
had agreed not to "engage in activities that undermine United States national security or foreign
policy interests". The not-so-subtle message was that if they failed to support Washington at the
Security Council, their trade interests would suffer.

Comments: Basically the United states is saying you are either with us or we are against you,
choose sucker because right now we have the Mullah so just bend over a little more so that we
can give it to you a little harder this time, so that you get the point once and for all, okay you may
not get the point but you are certainly going to feel it. You know what happens to bullies one day
someone stands up to them, woe that day that it happens, a new world order will be established.

Islamism, fascism and terrorism (Part 1) (Nov 5, '02)

Osama bin Laden has the money, proven organizational skills, combat experience, and the
charisma that can confer the air of wisdom and profundity even on inchoate or trivial utterances
and let what's unfathomable appear to be deep in the eyes of his followers. But he's no
intellectual. The brains of al-Qaeda and its chief ideologue by most accounts is Egyptian
physician Ayman al-Zawahiri, 51, the organization's number two man and former head of the
Egyptian al-Jihad, which was merged with bin Laden's outfit in February 1998 to form the
"International Front for Fighting Jews and Crusaders".

Al-Zawahiri hails from an elite Egyptian family. His father was a professor at Cairo University's
medical school from which Ayman graduated in 1974. His paternal grandfather was the Grand
Imam at the al-Azhar Institute, Sunni Islam's paramount seat of learning. His great-uncle, Abdel-
Rahman Azzam, was the first secretary-general of the Arab League.

Such family background notwithstanding, perhaps because of it, al-Zawahiri joined the radical
Islamist Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun) as a young boy and was for the first time
arrested in 1966 at age 15, when the secular government of President Gamal Abdel Nasser
rounded up thousands of al-Ikhwan members and executed its top leaders in retribution for
repeated assassination attempts on the president. One of those executed by hanging was chief
ideologue Sayyid Qutb. Al-Zawahiri is Qutb's intellectual heir; he has further developed his
message, and is putting it into practise.

But without Qutb, present-day Islamism as a noxious amalgam of fascist totalitarianism and
extremes of Islamic fundamentalism would not exist. His principal "accomplishment" was to
articulate the social and political practices of the Muslim Brotherhood from the 1930s through the
1950s - including collaboration with fascist regimes and organizations, involvement in anti-
colonial, anti-Western and anti-Israeli actions, and the struggle for state power in Egypt - in
demagogically persuasive fashion, buttressed by tendentious references to Islamic law and
scriptures to deceive the faithful. Qutb, a one-time literary critic, was not a religious
fundamentalist, but a Goebbels-style propagandist for a new totalitarianism to stand side-by-side
with fascism and communism.

Hitler's early 1933 accession to power in Germany was widely cheered by Arabs of all different
political persuasions. When the "Third Reich" spook and horrors were over 12 years later, a
favorite excuse among those who felt the need for one was that the Nazis had been allies against
the colonial oppressors and "Zionist intruders". Many felt no need for an excuse at all and simply
Heather Dedic Page 5 7/12/2011

bemoaned the fact that the Nazis' "final solution" to the "Jewish problem" had not proved final
enough. But affinities with fascism on the part of the Muslim Brotherhood and other segments of
Arab and Muslim society went much deeper than collaboration with the enemy of one's enemies,
and collaboration itself took some extreme forms.

Substitute religious for racial purity, the idealized ummah of the rule of the four righteous caliphs
of the mid-7th century for the mythical Aryan "Volksgemeinschaft", and most ideological and
organizational precepts of Nazism laid out by chief theoretician Alfred Rosenberg in his work The
Myth of the 20th Century and by Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf, and later put into practice, are in all
essential respects identical to the precepts of the Muslim Brotherhood after its initial phase as a
group promoting spiritual and moral reform. This ranges from radical rejection of "decadent"
Western political and economic liberalism (instead embracing the "leadership principle" and
corporatist organization of the economy) to endorsement of the use of terror and assassinations
to seize and hold state power, and all the way to concoction of fantastical anti-Semitic conspiracy
theories linking international plutocratic finance to Freemasonry, Zionism and all-encompassing
Jewish world control.

Not surprisingly then, as Italian and German fascism sought greater stakes in the Middle East in
the 1930s and '40s to counter British and French controlling power, close collaboration between
fascist agents and Islamist leaders ensued. During the 1936-39 Arab Revolt, Admiral Wilhelm
Canaris, head of German military intelligence, sent agents and money to support the Palestine
uprising against the British, as did Muslim Brotherhood founder and "supreme guide" Hassan al-
Banna. A key individual in the fascist-Islamist nexus and go-between for the Nazis and al-Banna
became the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin el-Husseini - incidentally the later mentor (from
1946 onward) of a young firebrand by the name of Yasser Arafat.

Why was his slimy skinny neck not broken way before he even became famous
and powerful? From an idiot with no message and no hope he has become an

The battle over the precise wording of the new Iraq resolution is on in the UN, with some
saying that France and Russia are on board and others that the two countries are still
holding out. (China remains an unknown entity here; most likely because she's too busy
Heather Dedic Page 6 7/12/2011

trying to sort out her own power politics at the 16th Party Congress.)

But everyone pretty much agrees that what's at issue are two specific paragraphs of the
resolution's text (which you can read in full here ): Paragraph 4, which holds that any
failure by Iraq to comply with the resolution's mandate would put the country in "further
material breach" of its UN requirements (and thus constitute a clear casus belli ); and
Paragraph 12, which states the Security Council's intention to "convene immediately"
upon receiving a report of Iraqi non-compliance.

But throughout all the posturings, little attention has been paid to another important
paragraph - one that could, if the US played its cards right, constitute a hidden and nearly
unavoidable (for Saddam) "war trigger": Paragraph 5. This is the paragraph that lays out
the UN's demand for "immediate, unimpeded, unrestricted, and private access to all
officials and other persons" within Iraq.

This is a potentially explosive point. According to Paragraph 5, UN inspectors may "at
their discretion conduct interviews inside or outside of Iraq, may facilitate the travel of
those interviewed and family members outside of Iraq, and that, at the sole discretion of
UNMOVIC [United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission] and
the IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency], such interviews may occur without the
presence of observers from the Iraqi government ..." (emphasis added).

Think about what this means. There's already been suggestions among Congressional
staffers that the US might be willing to offer cooperating scientists instant "permanent
resident" status in the country along with their families. So what's to stop the US from
flying all of them out at once? Mass exodus.

Most of them would probably prefer a fast ticket out of the hot seat anyway. And for
those that don't? It's not like the resolution gives them - or their families - any choice.
Once they're all outside and talking (behind one another's back, with nobody knowing
what the others are saying), Saddam's weapons development programs are basically done

One might think Bush's war rationale would be greatly weakened at that point, since if
Saddam would have lost his entire scientific community in a single go. Well, not really.
At that point, Saddam couldn't comply with the resolution even if he wanted to - even if
he were desperate to. At that point, any inconsistency between or among any two
scientists' accounts of their work inside Iraq - be it howsoever small - would mean that
somewhere, somebody was lying.

It wouldn't matter who. The result would be "further material breach". The trigger would
be pulled.

Heather Dedic Page 7 7/12/2011

It seems that the bad boys just want to go to war no matter what. I wonder
whether Baby Bush had the plans for war drawn up before he became president.
I suppose he thought, “ Heck, boys, I think I am going to get me some more oil.
Just nuke and duke them. Hmmmm – Let me finish what Daddy started.”

There’s only one problem, Bush boy: Hussein has lots of Anthrax and other
goodies waiting for our boys. I don’t think it’s worth fighting him and risking our
men down there. But since when did it matter what I thought? I am just like a fly
on an elephant.

You, the people, do what you must or suffer the consequences. Prepare NOW.
If there is war, bombs are going to go off HERE, oil is going to go UP, gold is
going to BLAZE OFF, and traveling overseas is going to be like going into a
minefield. If you are an American it will be even worse when you show your lovely
US passport to advertise your citizenship. – Sol

“China is basically exporting deflation all over the world Eventually, China is
going to implode as a result of its desire to become the No.1 country for
manufacturing in the world In the mean time they are going to kill every other
country’s exports. As you can see, Korea has already taken a hit and will continue
to do so. Foreign investment in China will continue to increase and every other
country is going to take a back seat.

Then one day, the competition will be from within. They will have overbuilt so
much that they will end up killing each other in an attempt to make profits.
Remember the telecom boom and bust cycle here in the United States? Well,
China is going to have its own boom and bust cycle, but it’s going to be a hundred
times worse.

However, investing there now with the idea of getting out sometime in the
future is not a bad idea. Make sure you should know what and who you are
investing in.
One factor that most of the individuals who are pumping China forget is that its
banks have made just as many rotten loans as the Japanese. There is a banking
disaster waiting to happen sometime in the future.

Remember, everything that goes up must come down at some point in time.
Even Gold will do that. It will take off like a bullet, but just when everyone thinks it
can only keep going higher will it start its downward trajectory”. – Sol

LONDON - Consumers in emerging markets have discovered the credit card - with a vengeance.
In China, where credit cards were unknown not long ago, plastic transactions have hit a
staggering US$200 billion per year.
Heather Dedic Page 9 7/12/2011

While this is good news for business, at least in the short term, the boom in credit-card use in
emerging markets has resulted in an alarming rise in household debt, and fraud is rife, a report by
independent market analyst Datamonitor has found.

Deregulation by emerging-markets governments and simplification of the credit-card application
process have resulted in consumers taking advantage of the new lines of credit open to them,
borrowing up to their full credit limit. This sudden rush in borrowing has prompted concerns that
consumer debt may spiral out of control, especially in China, Thailand and South Korea.

In South Korea, household debt grew 20.3 percent in 2001. In Thailand, the National Economic
and Social Development Board has warned that the rapid growth in consumer lending,
particularly through the use of credit cards, could jeopardize the country's future economic
stability. (Asia Times -- Oct 16)

It seems that Americans, as Bill Bonner and his crew so lovingly like to call
”Debt Building Junkies,” are not the only junkies or idiots out there. Idiocy seems
to be in full swing and in a serious bull market. Too bad we can’t invest in it! If it
was a commodity we could short it, because prices will keep going down as the
supply seems to be going up astronomically on a daily basis.

I urge you to cut your debt. Don’t buy into those slick ads that say “0 % down.”
There is a reason why it’s 0% percent down. They know that you are flat broke
and have nothing to put down, how the Hell are you going to make payments
when the time comes? How will you like $29 late payments when you can’t pay on
time? Add a bunch of them together and your interest rate becomes over 25%.
Beware of ruining your credit, which will prohibit you from getting some if you
ever really need it.

I tell you this, the 0% down bullshit is going to get you into the grave faster
than cheating on your wife. Well, maybe not, but both are equally dangerous, At
least one provides you with some cheap thrills. I will let you figure that one out.

So bottom line, don’t spend what you don’t have. Wake the F***k up or bury
yourself, and don’t whine later on when you’re broke and have no job. You saw it
coming and you carried on. It’s like smoking crack and sniffing cocaine. It will be

Lula finding his way in Brazil
By Pepe Escobar

RIO DE JANEIRO - Only six days before the Brazilian general elections that took place on
Heather Dedic Page 10 7/12/2011

Sunday, hardcore drug king Fernandinho Beira-Mar (Fernandinho Seaside) picked up his cell
phone inside a maximum security prison in sunny, swinging Rio and declared that all businesses
must close down - or else. Rio came to a complete halt.

Fernandinho Seaside was arrested in Colombia in April 2001 and handed over to Brazil. America
accuses the Brazilian of conspiring to send cocaine into the US - along with three other key
members of the Colombian FARC guerrillas. Since June he has had a place of honor on a White
House list of the top 30 international drug lords that menace "American national security, foreign
policy and the economy".

After he shut down Rio, there were widespread rumors that the Americans had asked for him to
be extradited to the US, but the Brazilian constitution does not allow it. He could have been
extradited last year though. The Federal Police said yes. But the then governor of Rio, notorious
populist Anthony Garotinho - a contender in the presidential election this Sunday - and his police
insisted that keeping Seaside was a "question of honor".

Fernandinho Seaside did not vote this Sunday, but his "message" and its symbolism was very
much in most people's minds as the fourth-largest democracy in the world celebrated a triumph -
115 million going to the polls in a country bigger than the continental US. This was also a triumph
of a key vector of globalization: information technology. American and European consultants
flocked to Brazil to check - and copy - the Brazilian system of electronic voting and counting.

For the first time in history, the old ballot box of political democracy - invented by France in the
18th century - comes with a chip. The ballot box is now called CEV - the acronym in Portuguese
designating an electronic vote collector, a technology totally developed in Brazil with no
competitors anywhere in the world. Florida could learn a lesson or two.

And for the first time in the 103 years of the republic, a Brazilian who is not a member of the
social elite is getting ready to become president. Luis Ignacio "Lula" da Silva is a former trade
union activist and founder of the Worker's Party, the largest leftist party in Latin America.

There may be some ominous signs on the horizon. For Lula, the North American Free Trade
Agreement (NAFTA) - one of Washington's pet projects - is not a zone of integration but a zone of
annexation. Lula badly wants to improve the living conditions of Brazil's poor - and that is not
exactly popular with the Washington consensus. Washington's hawks fear Cuba, Venezuela,
Brazil and Argentina might form a block against the neoliberal avalanche. Republican hawks fret
that Lula is a fiery critic of globalization. The crackpot version of this fear surfaced when a
member of the ultra-conservative Hudson Institute published a piece in the Washington Times
last August in which he predicted a new axis of evil in the Americas - comprising Lula, Cuba's
Fidel Castro, Venezuela's Hugo Chavez and Colombian FARC guerrillas.

The World Bank ranks Brazil as one of the "Big Five" of the 21st century - along with China,
Russia, India and Indonesia. A non-nuclear state, free from predatory instincts, at peace with its
neighbors and enjoying widespread international perception as a land of great natural beauty,
great music, great soccer and sensuous, guilt-free women, Brazil has tremendous potential as a
stabilizing force in international relations - a natural candidate for a permanent seat at the UN
Security Council. ( Asia Times – Oct 8 2002)
Heather Dedic Page 11 7/12/2011

What is the lesson here? Well, they invented a good ballot box, almost perfect
so that the world could see how well the voting process went. But they invented a
perfect box to elect an idiot. Perhaps the old ones would have been better since
many may have mistakenly voted for someone who had more brains.

Notice the trend. The world is electing more and more radical people to power.
The coming religious and currency wars are coming closer to our shores. It is a
good probability that Lula will make sure Brazil defaults on its debt. Watch Brazil
become even cheaper to invest in. The pertinent question is, “Is cheap always
good?” Well, that’s a topic for another day.

Radical times are coming here and make sure you are prepared to deal with
them. Hint: DON’T PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET. That means have your
money spread across various currencies. New Zealand and the Aussie dollar look
good and soon the Canadian dollar will pick up steam. It is, after all, a resource
based economy, it should be at least 20% higher then where it is right now. – Sol

As you can see, the radicals are aligning themselves completely against the West, There is nothing that we can
do now that will appear to be right or justified until we solve what is at the crux of this matter.

1) Solve the Israeli/ Palestinian issue
2) Get our troops out of the over 100 countries that they are stationed in
3) Stop meddling once and for all in other country’s business and political affairs.

This war is moving and changing from just a war on terrorism to a war on Muslims, which translates to what I
have been saying all along, that we are headed for the worst war of all: the coming Religious War. Remember the
Crusades? Many people died in the name of Christianity. There is nothing more dangerous than a religious war..
Once it starts there is nothing that can stop it. Take a look at Israel and Palestine. As each day goes by we get
one step closer to the point of no return. – SOL

I said it before and am going to say again, welcome to the coming religious wars. Obviously, this bastard is guilty, but
now they see it as “us against them,” and the radicals are busy instigating the masses against us. When the masses rebel,
the powers to be lose. It’s very simple; an open and closed case. Therefore, the wisest thing to do now is bring our boys
home and let these desert loving bandits kill themselves. We can just watch, buy oil, and sell and them whatever services
we can.

Otherwise, we are going into a World War type scenario where we cannot see the enemy or determine who exactly it is.
To simply fight against all Muslins is really stupid, since most of them hate the radicals even more than we do. To lump
them all into one group would be a fatal error, since they are a very, very large group and then Bin laden would have scored
a strategic victory. That’s why Baby Bush is going out of his way to let the Muslims know that we are not against all of them.

Bush Takes on Christian Right Over Anti-Islam Words

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) on Wednesday took on the Christian right core of his political base,
denouncing anti-Islamic remarks made by religious leaders including evangelist Pat Robertson. Bush said such anti-Islamic comments
were at odds with the views of most Americans. "Some of the comments that have been uttered about Islam do not reflect the
sentiments of my government or the sentiments of most Americans," Bush told reporters as he began a meeting with U.N. Secretary-
General Kofi Annan (news - web sites). By far, the vast majority of American citizens respect the Islamic people and the Muslim faith.
After all, there are millions of peaceful-loving Muslim Americans," Bush said. "Ours is a country based upon tolerance ... And we're not
going to let the war on terror or terrorists cause us to change our values."

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Iraq's parliament unanimously recommended rejection of a U.N.
resolution on arms inspections Tuesday, hours after President Saddam Hussein (news -
web sites)'s son urged its acceptance if Arabs were included on the inspection teams.
Lawmakers, however, said the final decision rests with Saddam.

The United Nations (news - web sites) has asked Iraq to respond by Friday.

Tuesday's vote by representatives who must pledge loyalty to Saddam to earn a place in
parliament could be seen as strengthening Saddam's hand if he wants to push for a
change in the U.N. resolution along the lines proposed by his son and earlier by Arab
                 foreign ministers.

The United States, though, has said it will have no patience with any Iraqi attempts to
                 manipulate U.N. demands.

Parliament Speaker Saadoun Hammadi described the vote as "a message to the United
States that the people of Iraq are united behind their leadership, and it also shows that

everyone is missing here is that this is but just a taste of how Hussein is going to play

misunderstandings just like they did before: nothing new, just the same old games.
Again we will have to go back to the black board. In the mean time, support for him is
building in the Arab world, which is not good for us and it will bring the Gold dinar one
step closer to reality. Would it not be funny that we fight this idiot, defeat him, only to
bring about the implementation of the Gold dinnar as a result of fighting Hussein.

Then we will get screwed economically, as only gold will be taken as payment for oil.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Federal Reserve officials on Tuesday played down worries about the future
of the U.S. economy after last week's unexpectedly steep interest rate cut, setting an upbeat tone
economists expect Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan to echo on Wednesday.

In audience questioning after an address to an economic and investment conference in Pittsburgh,
Fed Vice Chairman Roger Ferguson said: "I remain optimistic that our aggressive policy will reignite a
recovery that has showed signs of stalling."

Nor, Ferguson said, is the U.S. central bank in danger of running out of room to cut short-term interest
rates, even after last week's dramatic half-percentage point reduction -- twice the size that was
expected by financial markets.

"The current environment of low inflation and concerns about the recovery have raised questions
about whether the Federal Reserve will eventually run out of room to lower interest rates enough to
stimulate the economy," he said.

"However, I do not think that macroeconomic outcomes will be sufficiently adverse to place us in
imminent danger of hitting the so-called zero bound on nominal interest rates," Ferguson added.

Heather Dedic Page 17 7/12/2011

Ferguson also discounted another concern of some analysts, that the United States may be vulnerable
to deflation, a widespread decline in prices, saying the risk is "remote."

He said economics literature advises "preemptive and aggressive" action to minimize deflation risks.
Should deflation emerge, Ferguson said, "I believe that the Federal Reserve would demonstrate a
commitment to such timely and decisive action."

Ferguson dismissed concerns that Fed policy was losing its punch, noting that interest-rate cuts have
always worked, albeit with long and variable lags.

Another voting member of the Fed's policy-setting FOMC, Philadelphia Fed President Anthony
Santomero, also pooh-poohed the idea that the U.S. central bank was diluting its stimulative punch. "I
am not concerned," Santomero said in a conference with reporters. "I think our job is to determine
appropriate policy for the moment. We have demonstrated with the mildness of this recession that
counter-cyclical policy is effective."

COMMENT: “We are not concerned” reveals exactly the opposite. The Fed
is scared witless. That’s why they have been coming out in droves like
cockroaches to back each other. Notice that when things were fine they
never came out in groups like this.

This simply tells me one thing and one thing only. Times are going to get
worse. This interest rate cut is not going to have the effect they thought it
would Instead, it is going to make the consumer even more wary. He must
be realizing how truly powerless the Fed is. They have been taught that after
4 rate cuts we usually snap out of a recession.

Now we have an additional 8 more and we are still going nowhere but
heading to the toilet eventually. These are not good times for the
uneducated. Use this opportunity to cut down on debt really fast and

Arab TV Airs Alleged bin Laden Tape
1 hour, 37 minutes ago

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - A voice purported to be Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) praised
terrorist strikes in Bali and Moscow and threatened Western nations over any attack on Iraq in an
audiotape broadcast Tuesday by Al-Jazeera television.

It could not be immediately determined if the voice was bin Laden's. If confirmed, it would be the
clearest indication the terrorist mastermind survived U.S. airstrikes in Afghanistan (news - web
sites) last year.

The speaker on the tape referred to the Bali bombing, the killing last month of a U.S. Marine on
Failaka Island in Kuwait, the bombing of a French oil tanker last month off Yemen and the
Chechen hostage taking in Moscow, saying all those attacks "are only a reaction undertaken by
sons who are zealous in the defense of their religion."

He said those attacks were in response to "what (President George W.) Bush is doing, killing our
sons, our old people and children by American planes in Palestine."

An Egyptian government newspaper told Israel Thursday to stop the "series of
massacres" of the Palestinians in a growing war words over demands to stop Egypt
from airing a television series the US and Israel consider anti-Semitic.

"Stop the series of massacres that you commit against an unarmed people... before
talking of Knight Without a Horse," Sala Montasser, an editorial writer at Al Ahram
newspaper wrote.

Jewish groups, the US government and Israel have objected to the television series
'Knight Without a Horse' on the grounds that it incorporates ideas from "The
Protocols of the Elders of Zion," a 19th-century anti-Semitic tract.

The series tells the story of an Egyptian who leads the struggle against the British
colonizers until he finds a book written in Russian that turns out to be the Protocols
of the Elders of Zion.

The forged "Protocols", which the US State Department has called "racist" and
"untrue", describe a Jewish plot for world domination and was used most notably in
Nazi Germany, and in Europe as a pretext to persecute Jews.

"It is strange how the Israeli foreign ministry accuses the series of increasing hatred
between Arabs and Israelis, while ignoring the main reason for such hatred, which is
the 'real series' that has been running for 14 months in Palestine," Montasser added.

The United States said on Wednesday it would not drop concerns about the series,
which started airing that same day at the beginning of the Muslim holy month of

The State Department said diplomats from the US Embassy in Cairo would be
watching the program to see if it contained anti-Semitic material and would raise
objections with Egyptian authorities if need be.

"At a time when the Egyptian government is working to promote peace in the region,
a program that promotes hatred would be extremely unfortunate and
counterproductive," State Department spokeswoman Lynn Cassell said.

She said the matter had been raised by US officials in Cairo and Washington, and
that US Ambassador to Egypt David Welch had met with Egyptian Information
Minister Safwat Al Sherif to express the concerns.

In addition to the State Department's complaints, 46 Congress members wrote to
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak this week urging him to take the series off.

The Israeli foreign ministry said it was "deeply concerned" about the program,
especially since Egypt and Israel have signed a treaty that prohibits "incitement

Israel's deepening recession pushed poverty levels higher in 2001, a government
report published on Monday showed, warning budget cuts to welfare spending would
likely lead to even higher poverty.

The Labour Ministry and National Insurance Institute said 1.17 million Israelis – 20
percent of the population - lived below the poverty line in 2001. Some 531,000 were
children, comprising 27 percent of all Israeli children.

That compares with 1.08 million people – nearly 19 percent of the population - in
which 481,000 were children, living in poverty in 2000.

Hurt by a double-whammy of a global downturn and Palestinian uprising, Israel's
economy entered a recession in 2001 and posted a contraction of 0.9 percent and a
jump in unemployment to 9.3 percent in 2001 from 8.8 percent in 2000.

An Israeli couple is considered poor if its monthly salary drops below 2,768 shekels
($583). The poverty line for a couple with two children is 4,428 shekels a month

The report comes less than a week after parliament gave its initial approval to the
2003 state budget, which included spending cuts of nearly two percent over 2002.

Social spending took a steep hit in the budget and as a result, the Labour Party left
the ruling coalition. Other parties said they were opposed to the welfare cuts but
voted in favour of the government to prevent an economic crisis.

The budget still need to pass two more readings by the end of the year before it
becomes law.

The report said poverty levels were expected to rise in 2002 and 2003 due to welfare
cuts of some 6 billion shekels.

It estimated the number of Israelis living under the poverty line is anticipated to
increase to 1.29 million – about 22 percent of the population - in 2002-2003. The
number of poor children is seen rising to 605,000, or nearly 31 percent of all
children, during the same period.

The report also showed the income gap continued to widen in 2001 as income of the
poorest third of the population fell to 3.5 percent of Israel's total income from 4.5
percent in 2000. Income of the top 20 percent rose to 53.9 percent from 52.6
percent in 2000.

“How sad that the big fat ass Sharon is busy bombing his country into
the economic equivalent of the dust bowl. He is spending billions of dollars
on war, and destroying the economy even more. These poor Israelis now
don’t even have enough food. It’s become common practice for many
women to sell themselves for money, and prostitution is on the rise.

It’s a sad state of affairs when the government fights a war that the
people don’t even want. More than 50% of the Israeli’s don’t want to fight.
Is that a premonition of what lies in store for the USA? Does it sound
familiar? One man pounding the drums of war, the one man that is fully safe
from any retaliation effort,

Doug Casey said it best, put Baby Bush and Sadaam Hussein in a cage,
chain them together, give them to razor blades and have the fight to the
death, the winner takes all, meaning no war. That’s the way new wars
should be fought. The pussies in charge should be made to fight in a cage
to death, give the bastards two razor blades and let them slash each other.
This way we can sit down and watch on pay per view what’s going on and at
the most only two will die. Plus can you imagine the revenues that will be
generated. It’s a win/win situation. Same thing should be done to Sharon
and Arafat. Let them carve each other to death” -- Sol

The suicide attacker who blew up a synagogue in Tunisia in April was given the go-
ahead just before in a phone conversation with a senior al-Qaeda leader based in
Pakistan, French investigators said Friday.

Nizar Nawar spoke to Khaled Sheikh Muhammad in Karachi on the morning of April
11 using a satellite telephone bought for him by his brother Walid Nawar in Paris, the
investigators said.

Walid Nawar, 22, was one of eight family-members and friends of Nizar Nawar who
were detained earlier this week in suburbs of the southeastern French city of Lyon.
Two of them have since been released.

Asked Friday if the arrests had a connection with al-Qaeda, French Interior Minister
Nicolas Sarkozy said on French radio, "Alas, yes."

The information appeared to confirm the widespread suspicion that the bombing of
the synagogue on the island of Djerba – in which 19 people were killed, 14 of them
German – was al-Qaeda's first major operation since September 11, 2001.

National Police: Not All of Amrozi’s Answers Are
14 Nov 2002 22:11:19 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Denpasar: The police do not accept Amrozi’s explanation that he merely
played a tiny role in the Bali bombing, only buying the explosive material and the L300 car.

Based on other information, the police believe that Amrozi was involved in making plans for the
bombing as well as the exploding of the bombs.

“Amrozi may say whatever he wants to say, but we have got other information showing that he
was the planner and perpetrator. The police have a responsibility to prove the truth,” said
investigation team spokesperson Brigadier General Edward Aritonang on Thursday (14/11).

He went on to say that the National Police Chief has questioned Amrozi about his willingness to
be questioned.

Johor whips 400 illegal immigrants

6:01pm Thu Nov 14th, 2002

More than 400 illegal immigrants, mostly Indonesians, have been sentenced to be
whipped in Johor, the state assembly was told today.

Menteri Besar Abdul Ghani Othman said a total of 734 illegal immigrants had been
jailed and 403 sentenced to a whipping since the expiry of an amnesty on July 31,
the Bernama news agency reported.

Abdul Ghani said between 8,000 and 10,000 illegal immigrants were estimated to
remain in the southern state, down from 97,800 at the beginning of the year.

Figures for the numbers jailed or caned nationwide in Malaysia's 13 states were not
immediately available.

Some 468,000 illegal immigrants returned home voluntarily during the four-month
amnesty period.

Malaysia's crackdown was denounced in the Philippines and Indonesia, the
neighbouring countries most affected, as "arrogant", "insulting" and "inhumane".—

War would trigger more terrorist recruits: Mahathir

By Palazhi Ashok Kumar

KUALA LUMPUR — If the United States invades Iraq, it would create a flow of fresh
terrorist recruits, Mahathir Mohammed, prime minister of Malaysia, told the Times of

Mahathir said in the aftermath of September 11, Muslims had been regarded by the
West as potential terrorists and penalised and humiliated when they travelled.

He said a strike on Iraq by the US would be a great mistake and would result in
increased global terrorism. Moreover, a strike would by no means resolve the
prevailing security tensions in the Middle East.
Heather Dedic Page 26 7/12/2011

In fact, there is an imperative need for greater efforts by the international Muslim
community to see a peaceful resolution to all conflicts, including security tensions.
The real dilemma is nothing but a clash of civilisations, especially between the West
and Islam, Mahathir warned.

He questioned why the West did not care to unearth real causes of terrorism and
eliminate them genuinely.

Many intellectual voices demanding detection of roots of terrorism were ignored in
the past. The US should listen to the voices of the world, including Muslim countries,
he asserted. As the US-led coalition against terrorism painfully fails to tackle issues
of injustice and alienation, possibility of more serious terror attacks cannot be ruled
out, Mahathir said and added the West had made no sincere effort to recognise the
perceptions of the Muslims, but have done everything to frustrate them.
―Forcing Western political agendas and values on other cultures is not desirable. The
arrogance of power must be eliminated. The use of force should never be considered
as a solution to avert terrorism.

There you have it: Some examples of intelligent thinking.Too bad our
country is lacking this. None of the chicken-hearted prostitutes who work for OUR
Press has the balls to say anything remotely intelligent. They just keep selling their
asses like there is no tomorrow.

The solution can only come through dealing with the injustices. Economic
relief is one major way to end the war. How many radical Muslims will want to
die if they know they have a better tomorrow, more money, and some bright
future on the horizon. Now their only bright future is going to Heaven and
meeting with the 70 virgins they have been fooled into believing await them.

FBI: Al-Qaida May Try Major Attack
Fri Nov 15,12:44 AM ET By CURT ANDERSON, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) - The FBI (news - web sites) warned Thursday that al-Qaida is likely to
attempt a "spectacular" attack intended to inflict large-scale casualties and damage the U.S.
economy. The latest FBI warning was circulated to law enforcement officials nationwide despite a
lack of specific credible evidence. It has not led the Bush administration to raise the terrorist
threat level above code yellow, or "elevated," which is the middle of a five-point scale of risk
developed after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. Yet, there is clearly worry that the danger is growing
because of increased "chatter" picked up through intelligence channels, the continuing U.S.
showdown with Iraq and the recently revealed taped warnings believed to be from al-Qaida
leader Osama bin Laden (news - web sites). "Sources suggest al-Qaida may favor spectacular
attacks that meet several criteria: High symbolic value, mass casualties, severe damage to the
U.S. economy, and maximum psychological trauma," says the alert, which was posted on the
FBI's Web site after midnight when its existence was reported by The New York Times and The
Associated Press.

"The highest priority targets remain within the aviation, petroleum, and nuclear sectors as well as
significant national landmarks," the alert says

their selfish purposes. Remember the saying, “Religion is the Opiate of the People?”
Well, these young men might as well believe in something, since they are living a
miserable life and have no hope..

If we were smart, instead of sending in billions of dollars of bombs, we would send in
billions of dollars of investments. This would force the governments to educate the
young idiots, giving them hope. No one with money in his pocket is eager to die .for

Consider the suicide bombers. Yes, none of the big guys who are prosperous blew

he gets to go to Heaven and deflower 70 virgins. What a great deal! It is well known that
desperate people will believe anything and will do DESPERATE things. .

If we would spend the same amount of money we would spend on a war in Iraq, lift the
sanctions, load them with education, this would give them hope. Let’s see if they would
still want to die. They would probably throw Suddam out and dance in the streets.

Army Dismisses Gay Arabic Linguists
Thu Nov 14, 4:27 PM ET

By MARGIE MASON, Associated Press Writer

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Nine Army linguists, including six trained to speak Arabic, have been
dismissed from the military because they are gay.

The soldiers' dismissals come at a time when the military is facing a critical shortage of
translators and interpreters for the war on terrorism.

Seven of the soldiers were discharged after telling superiors they are gay, and the two others got
in trouble when they were caught together after curfew, said Steve Ralls, spokesman for the
Service members Legal Defense Network, a group that defends homosexuals in the military.

Six were specializing in Arabic, two were studying Korean and one was studying Mandarin
Chinese. All were at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, the military's primary language
training center.

The government has aggressively recruited Arabic speakers since the Sept. 11 attacks.

Watchdog Urges Bush to Kill Pentagon Data-Mine Plan
Thu Nov 14, 8:56 PM ET

By Jim Wolf

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon (news - web sites) should end research aimed at sifting
through everything from credit card transactions to travel records for tip-offs to terrorist plots, the
American Civil Liberties Union (news - web sites) told President Bush (news - web sites) on

"If the Pentagon has its way, every American -- from the Nebraskan farmer to the Wall Street
banker -- will find themselves under the accusatory cyber-state of an all-powerful national security
apparatus," said Laura Murphy, director of the Washington national office

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Pentagon's cradle of emerging
technologies, began awarding contracts this month for development of a prototype "Total
Information Awareness" system -- a kind of vast global electronic dragnet.

The system would use statistical techniques known as data mining to look for threatening
patterns among everyday transactions, the director of the effort, John Poindexter, a former
national security advisor, has said.

The civil liberties group said it would link commercial and governmental databases in the United
States and overseas, presumably including everything from student report cards to mental-health

If Bush refuses to kill the project now, said Katie Corrigan, an ACLU legislative counsel,
"Congress should step in quickly and pull the plug on this dangerous idea."

Poindexter, a retired Navy admiral, has argued that the government needs to "break down the
stovepipes" separating commercial and government data bases. Poindexter was convicted on

five counts of deceiving Congress in the Iran-Contra scandal but his conviction was set aside on
the grounds that his immunized congressional testimony had been used against him.

"We must become much more efficient and more clever in the ways we find new sources of data,
mine information from the new and the old, generate information, make it available for analysis,
convert it to knowledge, and create actionable options," he said in an Aug. 21 speech to a
technology conference in Anaheim, California.

In the first related contract, Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. of Falls Church, Virginia, has been awarded
$1.5 million worth of work on a planned $62.9 million contract, the Army said last week. Work
under the contract is expected to be wrapped up by Nov. 7, 2007, the Army said.

The execution of terror
By Syed Saleem Shahzad

KARACHI - While much of the world's attention is focused on a possible United States-led war on
Iraq, and everything that such a conflict will entail, some Western intelligence agencies, including
thos of the US, are preparing for a new wave of violence that could see the US and its allies
encountering their enemy not only in Iraq, but all over the world.

These attacks could be triggered by the scheduled execution by lethal injection in the state of
Virginia on Thursday of Aimal Kansi, a Pakistani national convicted for the 1993 murders of two
Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employees near Washington.

Initially, there is likely to be a strong reaction in Pakistan, but, as the US State Department has
already warned, the execution could result in retaliation against Americans and their interests
around the world. On Tuesday, Al Jazeera, the Arab satellite television channel, broadcast an
audiotape that it said was recorded by Osama bin Laden, in which he praised several recent
terror attacks around the world, and threatened further bloodshed to come.

A prime target of militant organizations in Pakistan is former president Farooq Ahmed Khan
Heather Dedic Page 37 7/12/2011

Leghari, as he is the man said in 1997 to have had Kansi arrested in the Pakistan region of Dera
Ghazi Khan, and then handed over to the Americans, even though there was no treaty between
the two countries for such action.

On Tuesday, activists from the Jamaat-e-Islami in Multan town in Punjab province marched and
threatened violence if Kansi were executed. In a new report, Amnesty International confirms that
US intelligence agents and Pakistan's government colluded to abduct Kansi, who belongs to the
powerful Pashtun Kansi tribe in the southwestern province of Balochistan. The province,
bordering Afghanistan, is a stronghold of hardline Islamic groups which made major gains in
Pakistan's national elections last month. Tribal head Arbab Zahir Kansi has sent a written appeal
to the US Justice Department, asking it to pardon Kansi or commute the death sentence.

The situation in Pakistan is complicated by the poll success of the six Islamic groups in the
Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), which is in the process of trying to form a key part of a new
coalition government. MMA campaigned on a platform of ousting the US from Pakistan, and
elements of the MMA were at the forefront of Tuesday's marches and protests.

The post-World War II period of the past century can be viewed as one in which there was a
silent contract of cooperation between the god-fearing world (be it Europe, the Americas,
Pakistan, Iran or Saudi Arabia) and the godless world where communism had taken hold. The
god-fearing world, whether Christian or Muslim, cooperated against the spread of the godless
world. Being the dominant force in the "capitalist" god-fearing world, the US, the UK and their
intelligence agencies supported Islamic zealots to counter the threat of communism in the Muslim
world. This "holy" nexus was severed with the the end of the Cold War, and a new world order
began to emerge.

Aimal Kansi was caught in this transformation period. He fought in Afghanistan against the
Soviets in the 1980s. He is from a highly influential family with clout in both Balochistan and in
Afghanistan’s Kandahar region. He was given special training in espionage and guerrilla warfare
by CIA officials to counter the Afghan communist regime’s designs in southern Afghanistan. Kansi
is said to have been effective, but in the process he was influenced by Afghan-Arabs who had
also been trained and equipped by the CIA, but who after the Gulf War in 1991 turned against
their former mentors.

When the communist government fell in Kabul in the early 1990s, Kansi decided to go to the US,
tapping a contact, Victor Marchetti, a former CIA official, who got him a job in a courier company.
This was at the time that Osama bin Laden was making his calls for the US to evacuate the
Persian Gulf or face the consequences.

Obviously convinced by the appeal, in 1993 Kansi gunned down Lansing Bennett, 66, and Frank
Darling, 28, as they sat in their cars outside the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia. Three
other people were wounded. He confessed to the shootings, saying that they were vengeance for
American interference in Muslim countries.
Heather Dedic Page 38 7/12/2011

Now Kansi has been elevated to the position of a hero among jihadis, and his death at the hands
of the US judicial system will be used to further motivate militants around the world.

The State Department warns that attacks could target the United States or its foreign interests.
"The US government continues to receive credible indications that extremist groups and
individuals are planning additional terrorist actions against US interests," the department said in a
statement. "Such actions may include, but are not limited to, suicide operations." The statement
added that targets "may include facilities where Americans or possibly other foreigners are
generally known to congregate or visit, such as residential areas, clubs, restaurants, places of
worship, schools, hotels, outdoor recreation events or resorts and beaches". Some embassies
and consulates may close temporarily, the department added.

The US media has only reported a recent meeting between the Lebanese Hezbullah and al-
Qaeda leaders in Beirut, but in fact many large-scale contacts between al-Qaeda and militant
groups all over the world have already been made, and strategies worked out. These range from
the kidnapping and killing of US citizens, to blowing up strategic or diplomatic areas. Indeed, the
process has already begun.

According to the findings of Western intelligence agencies, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed supplied
US$10,000 to Naeem Bokhari, a leader of the banned Pakistani sectarian outfit Laskhar-i-
Jhangvi, to kidnap a Westerner. The response was the abduction and subsequent murder of US
journalist Daniel Pearl.

The attack earlier this year on the Protestant International Church, located in a heavily guarded
diplomatic enclave about a half-mile from the US embassy in Islamabad, was aimed at a senior
US official, Milton Green, and his wife Barbara, who was killed. These two instances provide
examples of the al-Qaeda-local militant nexus, with the latter doing the dirty work.

World terrorism experts believe that al-Qaeda operatives have secreted hundreds of tonnes of
explosives around the globe. Local militant groups will be given access to this, along with a plan,
wherever and whenever al-Qaeda decides to open a new war front against the US. ( ASIA TIMES

Statement Warns of More Attacks
Sat Nov 16, 7:34 PM ET

By ALAA SHAHINE, Associated Press Writer

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) - A statement attributed to al-Qaida threatened more
attacks in New York and Washington unless America stops supporting Israel and
converts to Islam, an Arab TV reporter who received the unsigned document said
Saturday Yosri Fouda, correspondent for the satellite station Al-Jazeera, told The
Associated Press he received the six-page document on Wednesday. That was a day
after the TV station broadcast an audiotape purportedly made by Osama bin Laden
(news - web sites).

Fouda, who is known for good contacts within al-Qaida, would only say that the
statement came from his sources with the group. But he insisted he was certain it came
from the terrorist movement's leadership.

Fouda, speaking by telephone from London, said the statement called on Americans to
stop supporting Israel and other governments that "oppress" Muslims or face more
attacks. The statement also called on Americans to convert to Islam, he said.

Fouda quoted the statement as saying: "Stop your support for Israel against the
Palestinians, for Russians against the Chechens ... for corrupt leaders in our countries ...
(and) leave us alone or expect us in Washington and New York."

He added the statement demanded U.S. troops leave the Arabian Peninsula, and

Comments: Lets us examine what these guys really want, I don’t condone terrorism for
one second and if we can chop these guys into a thousand pieces and feed them to the
sharks I am all for it, on second thoughts that would be cruel to the sharks, so let them
just rot in a pit. But getting back to the point, all they want is for us to take our big fat
asses out of their faces, they can hardly breathe what with the average American Ass
weighing more than two of them put together, so in reality its not much they are asking,
we on the other hand insist that we have the right to tell the whole world what the hell
they should do, and if they don’t listen we send them to hell, what nice choices we give
them and how we go out of our ways to foster brotherly love. If we would just mind our
on frigging business and not go jumping down everyone else’s ass or throat we would be
much better of, but are we going to listen, no we are going to get all those idiotic
predator robot controlled planes and bombs ready to bomb the hell out of some more
mountains and spend several billion dollars landscaping another area that does not need
anymore landscaping, in the end we probably killed more bugs then terrorists. Talk
about intelligence, how the hell can you declare war on terrorism its not a an enemy it’s
a methodology, there is no win here, everybody loses, the only people that will win is the
government as they take away the little rights you have managed to fool yourself that
you had in the first place, now event hat illusion is going to be shattered. So stand up
and protest not because you love these scum sucking filthy roaches, but only because
you value your independence and your liberty and don’t want to lose it all in a heart
beat. As I have kept saying treat terrorism like a business and you win, take away that
which gives them power and what is that a source of destitute males who have nothing
to frigging lose

You want to end terrorism here is Sol’s plan you can call me insane if you wish and its

   1) open up schools in all the Islamic countries, and staff them with no you got to be
kidding me American teachers, not on your life, they will think its some
propaganda based crap, no fill it with all other nationals, Arabs, Russians,
Chinese, Indians, etc, but these schools will forbid the teaching of any religious
crap or political crap, al they will be are learning centers no mass ideology will be
force fed to them. Only arts and sciences taught here and sports
   2) put more investment into those countries so that they have some jobs to look
      forward to when they graduate
   3) show them a little bit about who the average American, you know just the basic
life of a hard working American so that they can see we are humans to, not all
rich and loaded and ready to fight, that most Americans don’t even know what
the hell is going on there, they are to busy trying to put food on the table
   4) solve the Palestinian and Israeli problem, how its not easy but here is a solution.
Heather Dedic Page 41 7/12/2011

The Palestinians want their land back and to be independent the Israelis don’t
want to give the land back, simple just tell the Israelis they will have to pay a
dollar amount that the Palestinians find agreeable to off course within reason,
and then rebuilt houses for all the displaced Palestinians, and then Palestine
should be allowed to be an independent recognized state, and America should
invest X amount of dollars building the Infra structure so that they have
        something to look forward to.

Trust me no one with money in his pocket wants to die, the reason they kill
themselves is because they have nothing to lose, their lives are worthless and the
only way to provide for their families is to kill themselves then they get 25-50k from
Saddam Hussein plus their families are taken care by the terrorist network, so its not
hard to see why they are doing this, in a sad way this is the only market that has job
openings in it. Its not something we should condone, but once you see why they do it
you can do something to stop it.

Okay that’s enough for now, this will be the last issue on the war state for sometime,
I might mention articles here and there but not in depth like I have done right now

President Bush (news - web sites) and other U.S. officials have said they believe that Iraq's firing
on coalition planes patrolling the northern and southern no-fly zones would violate the latest U.N.

Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. David Lapan said Friday evening that Iraq had fired surface-to-air

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and other Pentagon officials have been vague about
whether Iraqi hostile actions in the no-fly zones would be considered a trigger for a wider U.S.-led

Khomeini Grandson Joins Protest

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - A grandson of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the late founder of the
Islamic republic, on Saturday joined about 1,000 students protesting the death sentence
of a university professor on charges of insulting Islam, state-run media reported. Student
protests have taken place almost daily in Tehran since the hard-line judiciary sentenced
Hashem Aghajari last week. The ruling clerics were enraged by his speech in June in
which he said that each generation should be able to interpret Islam on its own, without

clerical guidance.

Aghajari's case has heightened tensions in the power struggle between reformists, many
of them students, who seek more social and political freedoms and Islamic hard-liners,
who control the police and judiciary and the strongest levers of power in Iran.

On Friday, about 1,000 supporters of the country's hard-line clerics took to the streets
calling for Aghajari's execution.

"We will continue our protests until Aghajari is released," an unidentified student leader
was quoted as saying by the official Islamic Republic News Agency on Saturday. The
protest took place on the grounds of Amir Kabir University

execute this man for supposedly insulting Islam they will stir a riot and have given the
small seeds of rebellion a super dose of the most potent fertilizer for these baby trees

The Old West comes to Israel
By Ian Urbina

With the breakup of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's coalition government and the departure of the
Labor party, Israel loses what little anchor might have prevented a full rightward drift. Out goes
the Nobel poster child Shimon Peres, and in comes the unflinching militant Benjamin Netanyahu.
But while most focused on the drama of the Labor-Likud divorce proceedings, the Bank of Israel
released a decidedly overlooked prediction report for 2003.

The prognosis was far from sunny: negative growth, 12 percent unemployment, and a continued
climb of double-digit inflation rates. It seems that in his fixation with security, Sharon failed to
notice that the economy was gradually crumbling underfoot. GDP, which headed into the red at
the start of the intifada, shows little sign of rebound. More than a year ago, the twin pillars of the
economy began tipping. Tourism was gutted by the fear of violence, and Israel's prized
technology industry faired little better after the global bursting of the dot-com bubble.

But for some, business is booming. Security technology companies are reporting record profits,
and in Tel Aviv there are waiting lists to buy hidden cameras. No one, however, has faired as well
as the gun dealers. Some Jerusalem stores have been extending their hours to accommodate the
overflow of customers. Hardly a recent development, the arms rush began with the start of the

intifada. The Jerusalem Post reported several months ago that gun owners had increased their
numbers by 350 percent.

"We have never been busier," reports an attendant at Krav (Battle) Gun store located in a West
Jerusalem shopping. "Target practice and license renewals are up. In fact, they've doubled in the
last several months." As a physical and economic sense of insecurity widens in society, a
stockpiling mentality seems to have taken hold. "Things are not getting better," remarked one

Groundpounders to the war zone
By David Isenberg

It took over four months, but the war debate is over. No, not the question of whether or not to
invade Iraq. The idea that the United States would not seek to invade Iraq was never seriously in
doubt. But what was how to do it - whether to use either large numbers of ground forces or some
variant of special operations forces combined with native opposition forces, plus air power, a la
the Afghan model.

And the winner is ... the groundpounders, and General Tommy Franks, head of the US Central
Command, which would run any military campaign against Iraq.
Heather Dedic Page 46 7/12/2011

According to an article in the November 10 New York Times, the same paper to which details of
the original war plan were leaked in early July, the plan, approved well before the UN Security
Council's unanimous vote on November 8 to disarm Iraq, calls for massing 200,000 to 250,000
troops for attack by air, land and sea.

Such numbers push back the start of an invasion to next year. The US-based Global
calculates that an invasion would begin not later than February 22. Previously, it had predicted
that military operations could begin as early as November 28. The revised assessment takes into
account the unanimous UN Security Council Resolution 1441, which gives Iraq fixed timelines for
acknowledging the resolution by November 15, declaring its weapons programs by December 9,
and setting a 60-day period for re-admitted UN weapons inspectors to report on progress.

While US conservatives publicly grumble about the UN, the Security Council resolution is actually
helpful to the Bush administration. According to an analysis by military analyst William Arkin in the
Los Angeles Times, "The inspections process will improve the political climate for eventual action
and buy time for the Pentagon to get ready. The war that Bush and his team think is necessary
and inevitable will thus come with the approval of both Congress and the UN. Meanwhile, one of
the main practical obstacles to war with Iraq will have been dealt with: the enormous
infrastructure needed to supply and sustain today's armed forces against Iraq is being
constructed on the foundations of the system created for the war in Afghanistan."

According to the plan, United States and coalition forces could seize territory and operate out of
forward bases in northern, western and southern Iraq. This is similar to the notion of the three-
pronged attack described in the earlier war plan.

In western Iraq, troops would seek to prevent Iraqi missile attacks on Israel and other neighbors.
In the northern Kurdish territory, where Iraqi opposition leaders say that the CIA and possibly
Heather Dedic Page 47 7/12/2011

Special Forces troops have already scouted out airfields, troops would set up staging and
refueling bases. In the south, troops would move in from Kuwait to seize key facilities around the
port of Basra.

The large number of forces tracks closely with a scenario outlined in the March/April issue of
Foreign Affairs, which called for an invasion force involving four to six divisions totaling 200,000 to
300,000 troops plus supporting troops, 700-1,000 planes and anywhere from one to five carrier
battle groups.

Even with large numbers, though, the war is unlikely to be won easily or without consequences. A
war game held on October 23 by the Saban Center of the Brookings Institution found that with
"the deployment of an overwhelming force of nearly 300,000 troops, the US "won" the war.
However, under the constrained political circumstances in which the United States was forced to
fight the war, Iraq's counterattack efforts strained US capabilities and created problems
elsewhere in the region deleterious to US interests."

But regardless of the total number of troops involved, military preparations for the war have been
steadily continuing. The fact that deployments of personnel and equipment have been taking
place while the UN Security Council debated the resolution shows how eager US military
planners are to have all their pieces in place.

Currently, there are over 35,000 US soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines in the Persian Gulf
area, and more are arriving. Most US troops are stationed in Kuwait, either in a series of desert
tent camps strung along the Iraqi border or in Camp Doha, with an estimated 10,000 troops,
which acts as the army command base. A few hundred are in Saudi Arabia and in Qatar.

In the desert near Kuwait's border with Iraq, military convoys and helicopters are sighted
regularly. They are believed to be ferrying troops and equipment into the new "military zone"
recently declared along the border. Covering almost a quarter of Kuwait, the zone has provided a
closed arena for US troops to begin exercises before an invasion of Iraq. In early November a
brigade combat team of the 3rd Infantry Division moved out of Camp Doha into the desert for a
extensive series of exercises that will culminate in live firing by Abrams tanks later in the month.

Currently two armored brigades are known to be in the emirate, and Kuwaiti military sources say
that since June the tanks, armored vehicles, artillery and other heavy equipment for one to two
more armored brigades have arrived. This would allow a further 10,000 GIs to fly in, link up with
the heavy equipment, and be ready for combat in 72 hours. Plans are under way to move the
heavy equipment for another US division, to equip in excess of 18,000 troops, into Kuwait by

On November 6, Kuwait's Ministry of Defense confirmed that a refueling depot for helicopters and
fighter jets was being built within the zone, along with a runway for aircraft carrying military
freight. US aircraft are in Turkey's Incirlik airbase, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and

Qatar. B-2 bombers are also being moved to the Indian Ocean island of Diego Garcia. Two US
aircraft carriers, USS Abraham Lincoln and USS George Washington, are already in the region.
Although the Lincoln and the Washington are scheduled to return home by the end of the year,
their deployment could be extended by one month. Another three, USS Constellation, USS Nimitz
and USS Harry Truman, are expected to arrive in December and January, while the carrier USS
Kitty Hawk slipped out of Japan late October for an undisclosed destination.

The USS Carl Vincent aircraft carrier group began training exercises well ahead of schedule last
week and could be ready for deployment to the Gulf in January. The accelerated schedule means
the US could have as many as five carrier groups available for an attack on Iraq early in the year.

Meanwhile, US army engineering units that might be sent to Iraq are receiving portable fold-out
bridges, according to the Los Angeles Times. Such equipment indicates that, unlike Desert Storm
in 1991, US forces may be preparing for a mass ground invasion of Iraq, which would require
crossing the Euphrates River, which traverses the country.

Three US Navy cargo ships - USNS Bellatrix, USNS Bob Hope and USNS Fisher - have also
been sent to US ports to take on heavy combat equipment, machinery and vehicles that may
include possibly tanks and helicopters.

Plans have also been activated to call up retired merchant marine sailors to fill gaps in what
appears to be a huge logistical transport operation to the Middle East by the US military that
would involve around 50 chartered freighters.

According to Arkin, prior to September 11, 2001, OPLAN 1003-98, Central Command's blueprint
for war with Iraq, calculated that 10 airfields and six seaports would be needed to sustain air,
ground and naval forces. As the plan has evolved, force levels have grown and the requirement
for airfields and seaports has risen to 18 and 13 respectively. The plan calls for more than 60,000
short tons in supplies a day, the equivalent of some 3,500 tractor-trailers driving the distance from
Tampa, Florida, to Savannah, Georgia, every day - or 5,000 flights by C-130 Hercules cargo

To help facilitate movement of all that, Kuwait has given blanket permission for the use of its
airfields, ports and warehouses. US forces also have well-tended and continually expanded
bases in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, and Diego
Garcia in the Indian Ocean.

Beyond the Middle East, US bases in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other parts of
Central Asia add to the capabilities against Iraq. The advanced state of the US deployment
leaves only a few last-minute touches before US attacks could begin. These include Stealth
bombers taking off from their US bases, the rapid deployment of helicopter-borne soldiers, and
the call-up of thousands of National Guard and reserve forces to cover for the departed troops.
Heather Dedic Page 49 7/12/2011

On November 8, the Pentagon called for Army Reserve and National Guard commissioned and
warrant officers to step forward for active duty. It wants at least 100,000 reservists available.
Sources say not all the troops activated will be sent to Iraq, since thousands would be needed
during a war to defend US installations abroad and potential terrorist targets in America.

In total, the Pentagon plans to eventually mobilize more than 250,000 reservists. The US has
870,000 military reservists who serve one weekend a month at bases near their homes, and two
weeks a year on other assignments. It would take three weeks to a month to properly train and
deploy more than 100,000 soldiers to various locations, Pentagon officials say.

Meanwhile US and UK forces continue to attack Iraq from the air. On November 7, they bombed
two Iraqi air defense and command facilities near Al Kut, about 95 miles southeast of Baghdad.
The jets fired precision-guided weapons at an air defense operations facility and integrated
operations center.

In the UK, the press is reporting that a 15,000-strong fighting force will be mobilized in
preparation for an invasion of Iraq. Military reservists were given formal notice to stand by for
deployment to the Middle East. Overall, the main British force would be its First Armored Division.
The British force will be led by the 7th Armoured Brigade - "Desert Rats" - and is expected to
include at least 200 tanks. The main base is expected to be Kuwait. Along with its naval and air
force personnel its total deployed force would be about 30,000.

Comments: It seems that war is going to imminent, which means basic preparations should be in
the back of everyone’s mind, do not travel to any exotic places, unless you have another passport
besides your American one, and then do not dress up like the typical American who is always in
shorts and showing of his belly and goofy looking legs. Dress up like the locals to some degree
and make sure you don’t hang out in areas that seem to have a higher ratio of Americans than
compared to other parts of the city or country. Its seems stupidity will prevail again and the cost
of this war is going to be outrageously high, which means the presses are going to go up like
machine guns on crack, and then inflation is going to take of like a jack rabbit with a flame to its
ass and interest rates or brother try to imagine 9-15% rates, yes what do you think it will do for
those idiots that took the beautiful teaser Arm rates, death, destruction and complete annihilation,
the housing bubble is going to not explode, implode, it might just completely disintegrate, cash
will be king and Gold will be God, Off course until the day money becomes shit, which might not
be to long from now.

I don't believe that the big men, the politicians and the capitalists alone are
guilty of the war. Oh, no, the little man is just as keen, otherwise the people
of the world would have risen in revolt long ago! There is an urge and rage
in people to destroy, to kill, to murder, and until all mankind, without
exception, undergoes a great change, wars will be waged, everything that
has been built up, cultivated and grown, will be destroyed and disfigured,

after which mankind will have to begin all over again Anne Frank 1929-1945,

What vast additions to the conveniences and comforts of living might
mankind have acquired, if the money spent in wars had been employed in
works of public utility; what an extension of agriculture even to the tops of
our mountains; what rivers rendered navigable, or joined by canals; what
bridges, aqueducts, new roads, and other public works, edifices, and
improvements might not have been obtained by spending those millions in
doing good, which in the last war have been spent in doing mischief.

Food for thought in troubled Iran
By Paul Belden

If you're trying to run a dictatorship, here's a tip: Always, always, always sweat the small stuff.
Because sometimes the devil really is in the details - details like cafeteria food. If you ever let the
quality of the cafeteria food slip ... well, look at what's going on in Tehran right now.

Last Saturday, a group of students living in a dormitory at Tehran University decided that they
hated the cafeteria food so much it was time to do something about it. (It was the evening break
of the Ramadan fast, and they were hungry.) So they marched across campus shouting for better

By Wednesday night, marches were drawing thousands, protests had spread across the country,
newspapers around the world were going with the story, two parliamentary representatives had
submitted their resignations, and the supreme leader of the country, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was
saying things like, "I hope that the time would never come when the leadership feels it should get
the force of the people to enter the scene to resolve a problem."

By "force of the people", he meant the lebas shakhsiha, the plainclothes contingent of the
Revolutionary Guards, explained a 23-year-old protester named Shahrzad who spoke to Asia
Times Online, who said that she nevertheless remained rather less than frightened. "Of course,
[Khamenei] has this popular force ready to pour in the streets to make trouble. But those
plainclothes, they're always interfering anyway. We don't care about them. Everybody knows
them. Everybody hates them."

In any case, by this time nobody was shouting about the kebabs any more. They were shouting
for the release of Hashem Aghajari, a prominent history professor and politician allied with the
reformist Mujahedin of the Islamic Revolution Organization (MIRO), who had been sentenced to
death by hanging the week before. His crime: insulting the Prophet Mohammed during a speech
he made last spring in which he was also critical of the theocratic premise of Iran's ruling clerical
Heather Dedic Page 51 7/12/2011

regime. It may be a bit early to call the current protests in Tehran a "crisis". Shahrzad says that
she doubts the fire will spread anywhere near to the point it did in 1999, when similar protests
erupting at the same university campus - in the same dormitory, even - resulted in police beatings
and arrests and long prison sentences. "I was present at the 1999 riots, and I could see the fury
and the anger in people's eyes," she says. "Then they were shouting for freedom of expression.
This time, to me, it doesn't seem like that."

To others, it does. "Execution of Aghajari is execution of thought in Iran!" was one slogan the
students were shouting as they held up pictures of the imprisoned professor. "Political prisoners
should be released!" "Freedom of thought forever!" "Our problem is the judiciary!" "His crime was
revealing the truth!" ( Asia times Nov 14 2002)

Comments: You heard it here first, Iran is going to surprise the world as it become more
democratic and starts to throw away the reigns of slavery, and attack the imbecilic religious order,
that have their heads closer to their asses than the truth. The coming religious wars are not going
to be just external ones but internal ones, the question is which one is going to be bigger the
internal or the external or are they going to be just an intense like two nuclear bombs going of and
killing everything insight, maybe its time for a new way of thinking especially where religion is

Freedom is not the right to do what we want, but what we ought. Let us
have faith that right makes might and in that faith let us; to the end, dare to
do our duty as we understand it. Abraham Lincoln 1809-1865, Sixteenth
President of the USA

that he claimed to be, and realized that he had stolen her gold jewelry, she decided

Comments: Idiocy seems to be rampant, perhaps castration of the whole world is
something that should be considered, the basis for having kids should maybe an IQ test,
with idiots being immediately locked up and given a 10 year contraceptive, and told to
use that time to improve their minds, it seems we have grown in quantity but Quality has
taken a severe beating as a result. Oh well think 10 times before you have kids and then
think another 10 times more, and make sure your partner is not an idiot, imbecile, jackass
or moron , the worst thing is if he or she is 3 or more out of the 4 then offer to pay for
their lobotomy and make them your maid or butler instead of your wife or husband.

I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.

I never married because I have three pets at home that answer
the same purpose as a husband. I have a dog that growls

comes home late at night. -

The problem with every so-called ―financial expert‖ is that they all have a
fixed opinion on the market’s direction. It’s either going UP or DOWN, and
they keep making cases for either scenario. It logically follows that sooner or
later BOTH will be correct. All one has to do is scream loud enough for long
enough and they are bound to be correct. It doesn’t matter that during the
entire process of waiting to be vindicated, the result was that all your clients
lost almost every single penny they had.

I am going to tell you something. Don’t fall for the stereotyped bullshit
that you find on Wall Street and at cocktail parties, where everyone feels like
they have to belong to some sort of camp. It’s just like believing you should
either be Republican or Democrat or with the Greens of whatever they Hell
they are. How about you say you are with Satan next time someone asks.
This will stir them up. People who insist that they have to be either Bulls or
Bears are definitely lacking in gray matter and are more animals than
humans. Look at the names. They both represent animals, both animals
don’t think much, and both can be stirred to become violent and behave in
Heather Dedic Page 53 7/12/2011

an irrational manner. Are you getting the picture? By admitting that you
belong to one camp you are indirectly admitting that you are an irrational,
trigger happy, illogical son of a ―you know what.‖ Next time someone asks
you what you are, say you are a Dolphin .

The truth of the matter is that market is forever going through mini Bull and
Bear cycles. Of course, occasionally you catch the “mother cycle” which might
happen to be either bullish or bearish.

Right now we are at a congestion area, and the fact that everyone is worried and
thinking that this market should not and cannot go higher is going to be precisely
what drives it higher. Sentiment indicators, such as the put/call ratio are
unusually low, indicating there are too many bears for the market to actually go
down and turn bearish. The market does what surprises the most people.

We are also in a trading range building up momentum to take out 9000, we have
support at 8300, then 8200 we should not go below 8200, each time we get there
one should look to buy the next months calls on the indexes ok so right now one
would be buy December Oex or Spx or Ndx calls every time we got close to
those figures, now I know what all of you are dying to say, what the hell
happened to you sol, you said the main trend was down, how come you are now
saying we are going to go higher, well that’s correct I did say the main and the
long term trend is down but that does not be mean in the short term to
intermediate term we cannot have a powerful bullish explosive up thrust. I think
the likelihood of us closing up this year is becoming increasingly favorable, SP
1000 plus and down 9500 plus could be achievable by next quarter at the latest,
off course when we go down again we will go down much lower and set a new
low, remember we are in protracted bear mkt, not one that just keeps going down
non stop, it has its stages, so don’t be an eager beaver, remember when you
were to eager to get to the beaver when you were chasing that hot mama, all you
ended up was with a skunk and no sweet beaver. Hum food for thought.
Heather Dedic Page 54 7/12/2011

Gold’s action looks very bullish it is staying above 315, the longer it holds above
this level the more likely and inevitable the move over 330 becomes, in addition
gold stocks are all making lower lows right now and have come out of their down
trends, the ones that have not are forming nice bases and getting ready to

One key factor about this mkts health is that all over sudden we have been
having days where the new highs exceed the new lows something that did not
occur on any of the previous rallies, take a low at the numbers below

                   NYSE Nasdaq
Advances 1934 (56%) 1554 (47%)
Declines 1314 (38%) 1736 (52%)
Unchanged 166 (4%) 8 (0%)

Up Vol* 937 (67%) 979 (59%)
Down Vol* 410 (29%) 652 (39%)
Unch. Vol* 34 (2%) 16 (0%)

New Hi's 34 55
New Lo's 24 37

So basically what this tells me is that we are coiling up for a higher move, now there
are many theories out there that this rally is rigged because we are headed into election
year, but let me ask you this who the hell cares what it is that is causing the mkt to go
up, its always one form of stupidity or another, I mean look at the mkt, what are we doing
we are buying worthless pieces of paper called shares and we are buying them based
on the promise of the management to deliver, to add insult to injury we are buying
worthless shares with equally worthless money that’s losing its value by the day, and
then you want sanity in the mkt, everyone is insane in this place, so the only way to
make money is to forget that the mkts are fair, just think of them as rigged all the time
and being run by people that may or not be more insane than you and then try to come
Heather Dedic Page 55 7/12/2011

up with a game plan, so all this hoopla about the mkts being rigged is all crap, because
everything is rigged from the day you were born, do you choose your religion, no it
choose you, did you choose your views, no they were forced fed onto you, did you
decide which school you would go to and there by what friends you would ultimately
have, no the school and inadvertently the friends you have were chosen for you to, did
you decide whether you really wanted to work, no you were told that all good people
should work 9-5 more like 7-10 and pay taxes and sweat till the day they die, did you
even choose how big your wedding was going to be, no your wife did that, based on her
force fed perceptions that big is better and then you got into debt before you even
bought the house. About the only thing you have ever had a say is when you go to the
bathroom and come out a few pounds lighter. So stop the whining and stop listening to
the psychopaths out there, this is gambling my dear brothers and when you gamble,
what is the rule winner take all. Okay now having vented, lets look at how you can make
money from the idiots out there.

We are entering a period where the mkts are consolidating for the next move, and its
most likely going to be up, this week we saw the first negative divergence on the
Nasdaq, higher close on lower volume( Thursday) and then today we had a similar one
in the Dow higher close also on lower volume ( Friday). The nas has been leading since
when people speculate they do so in the nas, and then the Dow follows. So I think on
Monday we will touch 8610-8650 and then head down, I know the calculations are
changing all the time that’s because as I get more data the pic changes a little bit.

So then we go down to the 8300 first where we should hold, but if we break then 8200-
8250 will be the next support, either way it will be an almost perfect time to buy calls,
and I will give instructions on which ones to buy, this will not be the same as the Oex
service, here we are going to hold the calls all the way back up to 8700 and then sell.
The Oex service which is only going to be free for a limited time is a strict system where
we don’t hold the options for more then 3 days in general, most of the time we are out on
the same day or the following day.

Mutual fund play
Heather Dedic Page 56 7/12/2011

We went long the UlPIX that is the ultra bull fund at around 30 and a few cents, it is now
at 32.50, put in the order to sell this Monday. We will be wating for a signal to possibly
go short the mkt via a bear mkt fund, again this will be a quick play, we will probably sell
out around the 8200-8300 area, the signal might even come on Monday.

The OEX Nov 505 call OEBLA

For those of you that were unable to get out on Friday do not fret about it, its unlikely
that you are going to get killed, since you got in around 1.40-150, the option closed at
1.70 however the last bid ask was 1.75-2.05 The mkts should open up Monday and most
probably head down by the end of the day, but the decline could be delayed for a day, in
the meantime you can use the strength to sell out of these positions, do not hold this
option as I feel the mkt is going to take a temporary breather and you will simply get
killed waiting, so sell and cash out.

Options on the homebuilders

Right now we just have on put option on tol brothers carry on holding it we have a long
time on this baby.

QQQ Options

KLFAA, JAN 04 27 call we got in around 3.30-3.50 I told everyone not to pay more than
3.50, this play was issued on the Nov 02 newsletter lets close this play last bid ask, 4.10-
4.30, hey don’t whine that its not a 100% gainer, try to make this in the bank in lees than
a month, say cheese its good for you, you should be able to get 4.20 easily, if the mkt
opens up you might even get more, but hold onto the puts, we will sell them at 8200-
8300 when we get there, and then we will begin another strangle play( put and call play,
so far everyone of these plays have worked out pretty good), either way you made a
cool 20% with very little risk since these options have so much time, you might be asking
Heather Dedic Page 57 7/12/2011

me why the hell are we selling, well I will reply with this, do you want to make frigging
money or play chess, okay now that’s out of the way, lets proceed to the other plays

DJX Options

ZDKLR Dec 03 90 call I stated that we should try to get in under 4.40 and there were
opportunities to get in under 4 but I am going to stick with 4 and 4.40

This one has not moved much because we kind of got in later than we should have, in
other words I should have issued this play earlier, last bid ask was between 4.10 –4.90

We could easily get 4.40-4.50, which means break even for those of you that did not try
hard enough and about 10% for those of you that got in at 4 bucks, however if Monday
opens up then you should get even better prices, but sell this one to and hold the put

Options: Some points and notes on this interesting subject

First of all these is game that you have to get used to, the floor traders are swine’s just
waiting to kill you, so never ever buy an option on the open, always wait at least 15
minutes for prices to settle down, in fact waiting longer is ever better up to 30 minutes is
good, the only way to get a feel for how to trade options is to paper trade for awhile and
actually follow the option for a little bit so that you can see how the prices change. Now
when I issue an option play on the Oex service and give you two parameters, that does
not mean that if you do not get your fill with the first parameter you run immediately to
the second one, you wait and try for awhile before you go the second and usually more
expensive parameter. And don’t worry if you do not get into all the trades, just make sure
you understand why it is that you were unable to get into them, have a small journal and
write notes on all the mistakes or insights you gain while trading, aim to make your next
attempt more successful in other words try to learn from your mistakes instead of just
repeating them, why I don’t I just make it easy and just give you one flat entry point like
Heather Dedic Page 58 7/12/2011

other options services do, well that’s the lazy men’s style and if you look into those
services after having an initial period of very nice gains they start to flounder, because
options trading is a very personal thing, you have to develop your own style, trust me its
worth learning and developing, and you cannot develop it if some one just spoon feeds
you one set of entry prices. So learn and earn, or cry and burn, the choice is yours.

Also make sure that you have time to check your emails if you are going to play the
option trades from the OEX service, if you don’t have time to check your email or have
no stomach do a little work and cannot take some risk stay away from the big money,
because options are big money, but if you don’t put effort into it you get killed and make

I think the Ebook on options trading will be ready sometime next month when it is I will
send out an email and you can order it if you want, its up to you, no sales pitch here.

Many of you will notice a book section now on the website, well I have been asked from
time to time to recommend good books, those books are some of the best, there are one
or two controversial books that make interesting reading, but you decide what if any of
the information in them you choose to believe or use, these are not the trading books,
these are the controversial books.

The coming battle is a very good book it is over 120 years old and was just brought back
into circulation, trust me when I say it’s a good book and you will see where America is
headed, it will show you how we have gone bankrupt before, using the same mechanism
that the fed is now employing, as they say there is nothing new in history, the only new
stuff is that which you have not bothered to take the time to read on. So do read that

Jekyll island is an incredible book on how the Fed is screwing you, you will be shocked,
rocked and sickened and then outraged and how you are being manipulated like a rat in

a cage, read it and educate your mind, because education is the only weapon you have
and it does not cost much.

How to profit using mass psychology is a killer book on the principles of mass
psychology, really very insight full not only for trading but helps you amylase your day to
day activities and what makes you do the stupid things you do in life, very good.

The case against the fed is also very good, basically all the books are very good, but if
you have to start

Start with these, the coming battle, Jekyll island, and how to profit using mass
psychology and then work your way through the other books, you can order them right
from there, just click on the book and it will take you to the bookstore. Order only if you
want to educate your mind, otherwise don’t bother. I will list other books as I come
across ones that might be interesting, most books on investing are worth the paper they
are printed on which is next to nothing. All these books are classics

Another killer on is popular delusions are classic and more popular delusions. Let me
know after you read them what you think of them and you can also post your comments
on the forum page.

Info on the derivatives play and banks

In reality big banks don't go bust, what most of you have not looked at very
carefully, is that JPM and the other big bankers, make those derivative plays
through subsidiary divisions, though that company is part of them, it is done in
such a way that they do not have to assume responsibility, so if those derivatives
go against JPM, its subsidiary takes the hit and its not liable, they simply collapse
the subsidiary or the Government comes in and attempts to bail them out, so
forget about waiting for those big banks to go bust, they have been at this milking
game for a long time and have connections in high places, what it is going to do
though is if enough of them go bust then there is going to be a serious shock to
the whole system, which could lead to its demise and collapse, the total
derivative play is around 72 trillion dollars of which Gold shorts or derivatives

accounts for approx 300 billion, a drop in an ocean, but one derivative crash
could trigger of another and that's the problem, In addition this half point cut rate
was a not a smart move, its made holding money in the US less attractive
compared to Europe, and we already seeing a flight of capital not really huge but
a slow systematic withdrawal and very little infusion of new capital , we need in
the tune of 1 ½ billion dollars a day to take care of our deficits. So gold will have
it hey day sooner than later, as you can see after the interest rate cut the dollar
dropped, the dollar is already in a slow protracted bear mkt, the question is how
low is it going to go, not can it go any lower, as a hedge I would invest in the New
Zealand dollar and the Aussie dollar, and what might start to look attractive very
soon is the Canadian dollar and one that most people have not considered is the
South African Rand, which is full resource based economy and has the largest
reserves of gold, platinum, diamonds, etc in the world, it has already moved
nicely from a low of 14 rand to 1 dollar to 10 rand to one dollar a nice move. The
interesting and maybe disturbing trend is that this derivative collapse or implosion
is for the first time a reality, before it was just something to worry about, but now
it's a question of just how soon is it going to occur, since we have systematic
problem occurring across the world simultaneously, Japan has huge problems,
China has huger problems to, brazil is a time bomb ticking, and the US in
comparison to them all is the like 2 nuclear bombs waiting to go off, the end
result wont be good, yes gold will go up , but the pain that will be felt might make
you wander is it worth Gold going up that much. As always “time will tell, it's
the only teacher that kills even its most favorite students without fail”

Men don't know much about women. We do know when they're happy. We
