        MAKRO LAUNCHES BEDDING COLLECTION FOR INDEPENDENT HOTELIERS


Makro is marking the start of preparations for the busy hotel summer season by launching a new
bedding collection for independent hoteliers. Building on its existing H-Line own brand range,
Makro has developed the new portfolio of products to give customers greater choice, value and
higher quality solutions.


The exclusive H-Line collection has been created in conjunction with a leading commercial textile
producer and comprises a full selection of filled and linen products, including duvets, pillows,
bedding sets and fitted sheets. To give maximum flexibility to independent hotel and guest house
customers, the new range offers three different quality levels – bronze, silver and gold – and is
available in white or cream.


Designed for simplicity and practicality, the bronze range features 120 thread count fitted and flat
sheets, and 140 count duvet and pillowcases. For more discerning guests, Makro has introduced
the luxurious „gold‟ collection, which includes 230 count flat and fitted satin weave sheets and a
300 count duvet cover with embroidered satin stripe detail.


The new range also features filled products, including functional bronze hollow fibre duvets and
pillows, and „silver‟ solutions that have been developed to hold their shape and have anti-allergy
properties. For hoteliers that wish to invest in higher quality bedding, the H-Line collection includes
„gold‟ synthetic and natural solutions that are designed to re-plump after washing.


Every item in the new bedding range is 100% cotton, meaning it is robust, breathable and naturally
hypoallergenic. What‟s more, all solutions are machine washable, making them ideal for small-
scale independent hoteliers.

“Each hotel, pub or guest house is different, so we‟ve designed our new bedding collection to cater
for the individual needs of these hoteliers and their guests,” said Tracy Lawson, Makro‟s Target
Group Manager - Hotels. “Some customers for example want simple, practical, value for money
products, where as others are looking for top quality, prestigious solutions for the discerning guest.


“With both ends of the spectrum in mind, we worked with a key player in the commercial and
domestic bedding market to make sure the new H-Line collection features professional solutions
that meet the varying needs of the sector. We worked on rigorous quality testing to ensure the
range will perform well for the daily use and frequent laundering needed by our professional
customers.


“As a result, we have a portfolio of top quality products ranging from the crisp, farmhouse style
bronze bedding, to the sumptuous 300 count gold range of duvets for even the most demanding
visitor.”


Single, Double and King sizes are available across the bronze, silver and gold options, and Super
King versions will follow later in the year. The new bedding range - along with other bathroom,
bedroom, restaurant, professional cleaning, and event catering solutions - features in a new 12
page hotel brochure, which is now available in stores.


To mark the launch of the H-Line bedding range, and celebrate the wide range of solutions for
hoteliers, Makro is running a series of in-store and online activities until the middle of April. Just
