June 9, 2008:
The Twisters Swim Meet has been changed from Tuesday to Thursday for this week. Home
meets are now on 6/12, 6/17, and 6/24. The Swim Team Board wanted to let everyone know that
the reason the swim meet was changed from Tuesday to Thursday was due to an ASA League
scheduling error. Neely Farms is in a different division which swims on Thursdays. The league
did not inform either team that they were on separate days. It was realized it this morning when
the Swim Team Board contacted Neely and this email would have been sent earlier this morning
if Gina wasn't in an all day meeting and couldn't send emails! Sorry for the short notice. The
league had asked Fontainebleau to switch it to Thursday because Neely had such a short notice.

Twisters will have an evening practice MONDAY and TUESDAY night at 6pm in lieu of the meet.

Don't forget the Twister Cafe will be open and serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken
sandwichess and many side items!

May 22, 2008: Friday Night Dinner starts tomorrow!
Menu: Tacos de Carne Asada / Con Pollo and Taquitos

salad or side. $5 per adult for dinner and teens 13 and older, Kids table 3-12 is $1 and hot dogs &
chips provided!

We are trying something new for desserts, they are provided at an additional $1pp and proceeds

Apr 21, 2008: Attention Fontainebleau Neighbors:

We hope you all are getting excited about our annual Open House social this year. With the date
chosen being so close to May 5th, we thought it would be fun to have a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta
instead of the usual Luau.

Please RSVP to the Evite as soon as you can. We are trying to plan some musical
entertainment and we need more members’ participation in order to pay for the entertainment.
Also remember that this is an opportunity for non-members to come "check out the scene" here at
                                                 rd
Fontainebleau. So mark your calendar for May 3 now, get the babysitters and lets show
everyone what a great Swim and Tennis neighborhood we have here.
If you did not receive the Evite, please contact Julie Cole (dbjcole02@aol.com) with an email
address to send it to.

Apr 15, 2008: Work Party: Saturday 4/19/08 from 2:00-4:00
The next work party is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. The main task will
be to add new mulch to the playground and small plant bed between the sidewalks. Other tasks
will include spraying for weeds, pool area clean up and general grounds clean up for trash and
debris.

The tools for this work party are simple. We will need shovels, 2 - 3 wheelbarrows, a few brooms
and people to help! Thanks and hope to see you there.

Recycling and Trash: Your help is needed to keep our club clean and trash free!

Recycling: It would help if the Tennis Teams that practice on Tuesday nights take the blue
recycling bags to the curb. If more bags are needed there are some in the bottom of the recycle
can. Also some extras will be stored in the hallway so anyone can access them for the club trash
cans.

Trash: Please be advised that Dekalb County will not empty the big trash cans unless they have
bags in them! They can't dump the big cans. There was a full trash can left because the trash is
not in bags. *Also - as you know, no one is in charge of taking in the cans so we'd appreciate
anyone out walking to take a little side trip and bring them back! Thank you!

Security: Last to leave the club grounds? Please lock the gate.

Tennis Teams! Did you know that proceeds from the race will go towards the tennis re-surfacing
fund?? We encourage you to participate and if you can’t attend then register for the event and get
a FSTC 5K t-shirt!

Operation Bootcamp, a sponsor of the 5K, has a free boot camp this Saturday morning! Meet at
the Dunwoody Park (at the Nature Center building) at 7:45AM and start around 8AM. Following
the workout they're helping with Hands on Atlanta from 9-11. You're welcome to join us and
invite as many friends/family members to join you.

Swim Team registration and fund raiser is this Saturday!

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Party
Saturday, May 3rd at 6:30
Poolside at FSTC

This is our BIG pre-pool season party. This is also the opportunity for us to invite prospective
members to join in the fun that we offer at FSTC. With the date being so close to Cinco de Mayo
(May 5th), we thought a big Fiesta would be a fun change instead of the Luau. This will be a
catered dinner with margaritas and some live entertainment. An official evite will be sent in about
a week with all details and costs. Prospective members will be able to come for free. Please
mark your calendar now and book your babysitters. Looking forward to seeing you all poolside on

We lost with grace, giving it our best effort, and then after exiting the courts, none of us left
immediately, angry in a huff, resentful of the other team and our bad fortune. We stayed and
rooted for our friends still on the court, offered food and drinks to our visitors and even spoke with
them about family and work. I could hardly sleep last night as I was so angry at myself for losing,
but I will say this. I am proud of being on our team with each of you, proud of being your friend.
We have won forever, but to lose with dignity is a quality rarely seen these days. Our fortunes will
change. Can't keep a winner down for long.- Manny Keita

Kingsley Kroger: If you are not already supporting another school through Kroger's Earning Plus
Learning program, please consider supporting our neighborhood school, Kingsley Charter. It's
easy and free!! The next time you're at Kroger, just ask the cashier to scan the Kingsley bar code
(they have it at the register, it's in a 3-ring white binder labeled ‘Communications Book', under the
Earnings tab). This will link your KrogerPlus card to Kingsley and you'll help earn money for the
school each time you shop. This program raised $4100 for Kingsley last year! Feel free to pass
this along to family members who shop at Kroger! If they're not shopping at a Kroger in the
Dunwoody/Chamblee area, they may need the Kingsley bar code with them. Thank you for
supporting Kingsley Charter School. Having a strong neighborhood school is rewarding for us all.

In the Know: I wanted to share some more information with you regarding the vandalism at our
clubhouse on January 30th. Click Here to find a copy of the police incident report for your review.
I would like to thank the Trimble's for their awareness and efforts in contacting the police. Since
the vandalism took place on the grounds of a private club, you will see the incident type as
Criminal Trespass 16-7-21. The event is considered a Misdemeanor...punishable by 12 months in
jail, and a $1,000 fine. Along with repairs to the clubhouse, we will be replacing the front entrance
sign that has been vandalized multiple times. We will make sure the Members only is visible, and
add signs for No Trespassing. Hopefully these notifications, as well as other security measures
will help protect the club we care so much about. Rudy

 I am happy to announce that the new playground is complete! Yea! Please feel free to play,
but please keep in mind that the mulch is not in place so just be careful as there is not much
   ground cover around the playset.

 Hello Fontainebleau Members,
Did you know that one of our own is heading off to Afghanistan!
That's right. Joseph Clements has been called to active duty for 1 full year. We are planning
to have a send off party this Sunday, March 4th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
Please stop by to wish him well at the new home of Jamie and Wes Collier , 2517
    Fontainebleau Drive , 770-392-1647.
We hope to see you there.

In the know: I wanted to give a quick update to keep everyone in the loop as to the progress on
the clubhouse repairs. The quotes have been received and submitted to our insurance carrier.

FYI...the damage costs are in the range of $7,000. We should be receiving the payment the week
of 2/25, and able to choose our contractor to begin the repairs as soon as possible.I know you all
are as anxious as I am to have back our clubhouse. I would like to thank Kirk Chalpan for all his
work with the insurance. More to come...Rudy
