Your Five Year
•Process
  90 hours are required for re-certification
• Prior to any certification work and no
   later than two years prior to certification
   due there must be a PRP submitted to
   the PLCSS Building Rep for pre-   link prp to file to bring up

IMPORTANT DATES
• PCAP due by second week in
  November
• PRP is due prior to participation in
  professional development work, or no
  later than two years prior to re-
  certification due date (December).
• All work for certification must be
  completed by the May PLCSS meeting
  of the year of your certification.
Status Report
• Two years prior to your certification
  being due, the PLCSS committee will
  send a Status Report.
• Remember your certification renewal is
  your responsibility.
PROCESS FROM YOUR
 HAND TO STATE
 • Hand your PRP/PCAP to the Building
   Reps who will submit it to the PLCSS
   for pre-approval
 • PRP/PCAP will be approved or returned
   with a feedback sheet
 • Submit evidence of PRP/PCAP upon
   completion.
 • Send ONLY copies.   Keep the originals!
• Submit the State’s original blue form
  you receive and payment to the PLCSS
  Office. Keep a copy for your records.
• PLCSS Office will verify completion,
  forward the form and payment to the
  MDOE and send a copy to you.
• Upon receipt of your NEW certificate
  send a copy to the PLCSS Office.
HQT Status
• We have 100% HQT per State Law (not
  including new hires)
• New teachers to RSU #11 will bring
  their HQT designation with them.
  Please submit a copy of the certificate
  to the PLCSS.
• Beginning teachers will receive HQT
  status upon receipt of Professional
  Certification.
