        Calling All Eagles’ Fans!!! 
                            
  An Eagles tailgating kit will be raffled off at the 
  Blair Mill Harvest Bash on Friday, October 22. 
  The kit includes a collapsible chair, a thermos 
   bottle in a carrying case with a strap, a rain 
 poncho, and a reusable tote bag, each with the 
              Eagles logo printed on it.  
 




                                            
 
 
    Tickets are 50 cents a piece or 12 for $5.00. If 
    you’d like to pre‐buy your tickets, please see 
    the attached flyer for order form and details. 
    You do not have to be present at the Harvest 
                 Blast in order to win.

3:00 pm Friday, October 22, 2010.Tickets will be on sale the evening of the Bash. We will pull the

              IT’S ELECTION TIME
Procedures for Blair Mill Student Council Elections are as
                         follows:

    • In October, two student council representatives are elected
      from each class in grades 2 through 5. A student council
      representative will need to fulfill these duties:
         o attend meetings
         o be on time
         o listen carefully to and think about all ideas and
           discussions
         o take notes and keep good records so you can report
           back to your class
         o speak up when you have an idea to present or a
           comment to make
         o report to your class regularly
         o come up with new ideas for projects, activities or
           fundraising events.
         o never make fun of another representative’s ideas
         o use good manners and be honest
         o complete the school work missed during student
           council meetings
         o set a good example and behave well in and out of
           school

    • After these representatives are elected from each class, a
      meeting is held to explain the procedures for the election
      of officers.

    • Only fourth and fifth grade class representatives are
      invited to run for the offices of Vice-President, Secretary
      and Treasurer.
• Only fifth grade class representatives are invited to run for
  President.

• Each candidate is required to submit a speech for approval
  and two posters.

• Each candidate will give his/her speech on Election Day
  on WBME-TV5.

• Elections are held immediately following the speeches by
  paper ballot which includes names and pictures of the
  candidates.

• Students in grades K-5 participate in the election process.

    Blair Mill 5th Annual Family Portrait
                     Day

       Once again the HSA is sponsoring a fantastic opportunity for your family,
friends, neighbors & even pets! The talented Chris Hockensmith (Photography by
Christopher) is offering a full day of portrait sitting to our families on Saturday,
November 6th from 10 AM-3 PM. Many of you may also remember his photographs
taken at last year’s Sweetheart Dance.

       There is a non-fundable $15 sitting fee. Chris has generously waived the
regular sitting fee and is donating this fee to the HSA. This separate transaction is
handled prior to the date. There is no obligation to purchase but we know you won’t
be able to resist! Please pay the fee by cash or check made payable to Blair Mill
HSA. Send the payment into school in an envelope marked Portrait Day.

       This year the portraits will be taken in our school in order to allow for holiday
props and backgrounds to be used if so desired.

To reserve your time, simply do the following:

       *Please leave a good time for a call back. CALL NOW! ☺
       *Send payment promptly to the front office.

CONTEST TO RAISE MONEY FOR YOUR GRADUATION PICNIC IN
                       JUNE!!
Rules: 
Each team will have a jar in their homeroom.  For every penny deposited in your jar, your team will 
earn 1 point.  Make the other team LOSE points by depositing quarters, dimes, and nickels in THEIR jar. 

For example:       Quarter   =    25 points deducted 
                              Dime        =    10 points deducted 
                              Nickel      =     5   points deducted 
 
Points will be calculated weekly and the score will be posted on the jar.  The contest will run for three 
weeks and the team with the most points will be the winner!  Stay tuned to find out what the prize will

                                           RELEASE AND WAIVER

        In consideration of being able to participate in various activities at a BOUNCEU facility, the
undersigned, on his or her own behalf, and on behalf of any executors, heirs, successors and assigns
hereby acknowledges and agrees as follows:

with participation in activities at BOUNCEU and waives all claims for damage to person or property

BOUNCEU (the "Company") and its officers, agents, employees, representatives, and all affiliates, from
any and all claims, damages or liability arising from death, disability, personal injury, property damage or
theft, or actions of any kind;

         4.       The undersigned agrees to comply with the rules and conditions of participation
expressed or posted at BOUNCEU. If the undersigned observes any significant hazard during such
participation, the undersigned will promptly inform an employee of BOUNCEU; and

        5.       The undersigned acknowledges that this release and waiver of liability form will be
used and relied upon by the Company and that it will govern the undersigned's actions and rights.
