support to people who are dying, it is instead a place of positiveness,
giving hope to people who plan to live.The National Breast Cancer
Foundation doesn't just offer support to those people who have contracted
this cancer, but rather offers preventative information to help people to
the best of their ability to not contract it.I am impressed by the fact
that they offer access to free mammograms to those who are in need. They
encourage those who access their site to have a plan. A plan to avoid
cancer and a plan to also take steps to detect cancer in its early stages
if it should arise.The saying that the National Breast Cancer Foundation
gives on their website saying that there programs provide women with help
for today and hope for tomorrow is an inspiring one. All over the website
they give out encouragement. While they certainly do offer compassion,
their entire message is one of people who get this cancer being able to
be victors, not victims, over comers, not those who have been overcome.
The message clearly comes across to look forward and fight aggressively
towards a cancer free tomorrow.Not only does the National Breast Cancer
Foundation offer support and inspiration for those who have cancer but
they offer support and inspiration for the families and friends of people
who have cancer or who have died with cancer. They don't suggest that
they should not grieve but they offer them support and inspiration in
getting on with their lives while they are grieving.The bright pink color
of the web site, the smiling faces, the pink ribbon, the pink ribbon
challenge, offering all the opportunity to work together to help each
other.The National Breast Cancer Foundation is a group that celebrates
life. While it doesn't deny the reality of the very real seriousness of
the disease and does see the possibilities of death it rather
concentrates on the challenges of life. It sees the life that is there in
the midst of the threat of death. The National Breast Cancer Foundation
encourages people to be all that they can be and offers a brilliant pink
light in the midst of darkness.
