How It All Started (1)

The first customer
l Dr. Rohde and Dr. Schwarz receive
their first order in 1932, one year
    before the company was founded:
    The Hermsdorf-Schomburg-
    Isolatoren-Gesellschaft needs a
reliable test setup for testing new
    ceramic materials.

The first instrument
l An interference wavemeter with
    a wide range (6 m to 3600 m
    wavelength) – which was also
    the first measuring instrument for
ceramic components. Ad from the Hermsdorf-Schomburg-Isolatoren-Gesellschaft.

How It All Started (2)

An untapped market
l The era of RF engineering has just
begun, but there are no high-quality
    measuring instruments on the market.

The business concept
l Contract development of RF measuring
    instruments for large electronics
    companies.

The first export order
l A dissipation factor meter for
50 MHz to 200 MHz, ordered in 1934
Handover of the first instrument developed
by a British manufacturer of insulating for an export order.
