In October 1998, Matthew Shepard, a twenty-one year old
student, was severely beaten and left to die—tied to a fence in
Laramie, Wyoming, simply because he was gay. The Laramie
Project is a breathtaking theatrical collage exploring the human
capacity to reach great heights of compassion and severe lows of
hatred. A truthful insight into the city of Laramie and the
                    aftermath of this tragedy.
All proceeds of ticket sales and a silent auction will be donated to
the Matthew Shepard Foundation, whose goal is to "replace hate
       with understanding, compassion, and acceptance.”
Thomas Howard, Programs Director of the Matthew Shepard
Foundation, will lead a Q & A session with audience members
                   after the Friday performance.
If you would like to participate in our Silent Auction,

And our phenomenal parent boosters, Saxon Stage On Cue!

The Cappies Critics and Awards Program is a program through which high
school theatre and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows
at schools in their region, and write reviews. These reviews are published in
local newspapers and online. In the National Capital Area, reviews can be
                        found on The Washington Post
