Saint Leo University. Saint Leo University is a Catholic,
coeducational liberal arts college offering a four-year
program leading to the baccalaureate degree and two
graduate programs, one in business administration and one

programs, including an honors program for students
interested in preparing themselves to enter the community
of scholars. There is also an active student life program
for the traditional student, including sports teams,

established adult centers which are overseen by the School
of Continuing Education. The centers are designed to meet
the special needs of working adults and students seeking
career advancement or professional growth. The programs

weekend courses are normally offered), individualized
professional educational advising, and small classes. The
School of Continuing Education provides academic and
administrative services at centers in various locations in
Florida, as well as Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, and
Texas. A complete listing of the Florida centers may be
found on pages 14-15.

Community College Campus Centers. The School of Continuing
Education has resident centers located on ten community
college campuses in Florida, affording students at Central
Florida Community College, Santa Fe Community College,
Saint Johns River Community College, North Florida
Community College, Lake City Community College, Lake Sumter
Community College, Pasco Hernando Community College, Saint
Petersburg College, South Florida Community College, and
Tallahassee Community College the opportunity to complete a

Transfer to Saint Leo University. Saint Leo University is
a signatory to the general articulation agreement between
the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida and
the State Board of Community Colleges. Thus, students
accepted for admission to Saint Leo University with an
associate of arts degree from any of Florida's twenty-eight
community colleges are guaranteed junior standing in their
chosen program of study at the main campus or at any Saint
Leo Center in Florida. In addition, provided that they
have maintained continuous enrollment at the community
college, upon formal application to Saint Leo they may
elect to matriculate under the Saint Leo University Catalog
in effect at the time of formal application to the
University or the catalog in effect at the time of
matriculation with the community college. (Enrollment is
considered non-continuous when a student does not enroll
during two or more consecutive semesters, excluding summer.

Additional Articulation Agreements. In addition to the
general articulation agreement, Saint Leo University has
entered into other agreements that articulate specific
associate of arts and associate of science majors. These
agreements allow students to take selected courses as part
of an associate's degree which will meet upper level
requirements in some majors. A listing of articulated
Saint Leo University majors and participating community
colleges may be found on page 4.

Admission: Main Campus. Students applying for admission to
the main campus program submit application materials to the
Office of Admissions thirty days before the registration
deadline of the session they are planning to attend:

e-mail: admissions@saintleo.edu.

Admission: School of Continuing Education. Students
applying for admission to the School of Continuing
Education submit application materials to the center where
they wish to have their advising records held. A qualified
applicant is considered to be matriculated (degree-seeking)
when all required admission documents have been received
and verified by the center. Students may enroll in courses
prior to matriculation; however, students using financial
aid should check with the Financial Aid Office to see how
matriculation status affects the awarding of aid.

Transfer Students and General Education Requirements.
Students who transfer to the University are not expected to
complete the entire General Education core as Saint Leo
recognizes that other colleges and universities have
legitimate alternative means of providing students with a
firm basis of liberal arts. Each student transferring to
Saint Leo University with an Associate of Arts degree are
required to transfer or complete the following:
  - two religious studies courses; one of which must me
the Saint Leo University course, REL 401 The Catholic
     Tradition
  - two science courses; one physical science and one life
     science
  - one survey of literature course
  - one history course or economics or political science
  - one mathematics course at the level of MAT 128 or
     higher
  - one capstone course in the major.
Transfer Evaluation and Automated Program Outline. Once
all application materials have been submitted to the
University and transfer credit is evaluated by the
Registrar's Office, the student receives a transfer
evaluation and an automated program outline. The transfer
evaluation shows the number of credits Saint Leo University
accepted in transfer and the Saint Leo course to which each
transfer course is equivalent. The automated program
outline shows how the transfer courses apply to the
student's requested program of study and what courses the
student has left to take. Average turn-around time for an
evaluation of transfer credit and initial program outline
is three to four weeks.

Financial Aid: Main Campus. Students should apply for aid
as early as possible. Aid applications can be filed any
time after January 1, for an academic year beginning in the
fall. Although aid is awarded all year long on the basis
of available funds, priority is given to students who have
been accepted for admission and whose aid applications are
complete by March 1 for the fall semester or October 1 for
the spring semester. Financial aid application forms may
be obtained from the Office of Financial Aid:

Financial Aid: School of Continuing Education. Students
intending to study at one of Saint Leo s Community College
centers should apply for aid as early as possible, at least
one full semester prior to their anticipated first semester
of attendance. Because students must be degree-seeking to
qualify for aid, they should submit their admission
documents at this time, if they have not previously done
so. Financial aid forms may be obtained from the center
where the student wishes to have his or her advising record
held.
