					“2011 Bike to Work Day” Contest
Official Contest Rules and Regulations
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN

Eligibility

The “Bike to Work Day” Contest is open to all employees of all member employers of Smart Commute
Mississauga. In the event that an employer becomes a new member of Smart Commute Mississauga during the
Contest Period, all of their employees will be eligible to enter the Contest.

Notwithstanding the above, the Contest is not open to individuals associated with the Contest, including the
employees, agents or representatives of the Contest Sponsor (including their respective divisions, subsidiaries,
affiliates and advertising or promotional agencies. (Collectively, the “Excluded Individuals”). This Contest is
not open to the immediate family members of the Excluded Individuals, and all other persons with whom the
Excluded Individuals reside. “Immediate family” is defined as parents, siblings, children, spouse or partner.

Agreement to Official Rules

Participation in this Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and
Regulations which are final and binding in all matters related to this Contest. Winning a prize is contingent
upon fulfilling requirements set forth herein.

Timing

The “2011Bike to Work Day” Contest (the “Contest”) begins on Wednesday, May 1st, 2011 at 12:01 AM EST
and ends at 11:59 p.m. (EST) Monday, May 30th 2011 (“Contest Period”). The Contest is brought to you by
Smart Commute Mississauga. Smart Commute Mississauga is referred to as the “Contest Sponsor”.

How to Enter

To enter for a chance to win, visit www.smartcommutemiss.ca, choose your employer from the drop down list
and complete the online registration form. All required fields must be completed to validate your Contest entry.

Entry is limited to one entry per person during the contest period. No purchase is required to enter. Odds of
winning will be dependent on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Limit of one
prize per person.



Participation Guidelines:

   1. Go to www.smartcommutemiss.ca and click on the Bike to Work Day banner
   2. Click on Register Here
   3. Fill out the registration form according to the Bike to Work event you are participating in.
PRIZES

Grand Prize: One (1) grand prize will be awarded: 2011 Jamis Trail X1 Front Suspension Mountain Bike
valued at $500


Second Prize: One of 5 Bike Accessory Baskets values at $200

The Contest Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any tax liability, if any, associated with the receipt of any of
the prizes. The prize must be accepted as awarded. No exchanges for cash or other items are permitted, unless
deemed necessary at the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsor.

WINNER SELECTION PROCESS

Grand Prize: Potential winners will be selected in a one-time, random draw to be held at 10:00 a.m. EST on
June 1st, 2011. One Grand Prize winner will be drawn at random. After the grand prize has been drawn, 5 more
entries will be drawn for the second prize. In the event that the Grand Prize winner according to the original
draw is not verified, according to the process outlined below, the list of five additional entries will be used in
the order drawn to select another candidate to win the prize.

In order to be declared a winner by the Contest judges, a potential winner must be in compliance with these
Official Contest Rules and Regulations, and in particular, the following:

a) Smart Commute Mississauga must be able to reach the potential winner by telephone or e-mail within five
(5) business days of the draw.

b) The potential winner must complete, sign and return a standard form declaration and release form within five
(5) business days from the date on which the form is sent to the potential winner.

If a potential or declared winner is not in compliance with these Official Contest Rules and Regulations, the
Contest judges reserve the right to disqualify such entrant from the Contest and randomly select further entrants
from the remaining eligible entries until a winner is finally declared.

Each declared winner consents to the Contest Sponsors’ use of his/her name, photograph, voice, statement and
image for any publicity or programming purposes, in all media, without remuneration.

Entrants will not be individually contacted, except for selected entrants or declared winners, who will be
contacted by telephone or email.
GENERAL
The decisions of the Contest judges are final, and entrants agree to abide by all of the instructions and decisions of Contest
judges. In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these Official Rules and Regulations or any decision
rendered by the Contest judges, the decision or interpretation of the Contest judges shall prevail.


All entries become the sole property of, and are subject to verification by Smart Commute Mississauga. Any entry that is
illegible, incomplete, altered, or contains false information, is invalid. Any attempt to tamper with the entry process, interfere
with these Official Contest Rules and Regulations or undermine the administration, security or legitimate operation of the
Contest, is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages and/or other
relief from all persons responsible for such acts to the fullest extent permitted by law, which may include banning or
disqualifying entrants from this Contest.


The Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for: entries lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected, or for the failure,
interruption, technical malfunction or delay of any communication to be received, for any reason; any incorrect or inaccurate
information, whether caused by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries in the Contest;
the malfunction of, or damage caused to, any telephone network or lines.


Limitations of Liability: Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused
by entrant, printing, typographical or other errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in
the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in
phone lines, or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Submission process or
the Contest; (4) printing, typographical, technical, computer, network human error which may occur in the administration of
the Contest, the uploading, the processing or judging of Submissions, the announcement of the prizes or in any Contest-
related materials; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property
which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or
misuse of any prize (including any travel/actively related thereto). Released Parties are not responsible for misdirected or
undeliverable Submissions or for any technical problems, malfunctions or computer systems, servers, providers,
hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission
or any combination thereof.

The Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute any component of a prize for its cash value or a
prize of approximately the same retail value. Prizes are non-transferable, must be accepted as awarded and cannot be
exchanged by a declared winner for cash or other substitutes. The refusal by an entrant to accept any prize or any part of
the prize releases and forever discharges the Contest Sponsors and their agents of all obligations related to the prize,
including delivery.

Smart Commute Mississauga reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to amend, cancel, close,
suspend or reinstate this Contest at any time and for any reason whatsoever.

By entering the contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Contest Rules and Regulations. Each entrant releases
the Contest Sponsors, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, representatives,
representatives, agents and advertising and promotional agencies, from any damage, loss or liability suffered as a result of
or arising from the entrant’s participation in the Contest or use of any prize. These Official Contest Rules and Regulations are
subject to change at the discretion of the Contest Sponsors without notice to contest entrants individually.
