1 Crushed Stone: Category Overview
      Following expansion at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.45% from 2006 through 2010, the
      consumption of crushed stone category in Poland reached to a value of US$682.1 million in 2010, which
      represented an increase of 10.8% on 2009. The market achieved its strongest performance in 2007 with a growth
      of 65.4% over its previous year and its weakest performance was witnessed in 2009, when it fell to -16.9% over
      2008.

      In comparison, the fastest growing category of the aggregates market from 2006 through 2010 by consumption
      was others (recycled and artificial aggregates), which achieved a CAGR of 32.96%. The weakest performer was
      sand & gravel, which achieved only a CAGR of 10.98%.

      By 2010, the consumption of crushed stone category represented a share of 41.1% of the overall aggregates
      market. In comparison, sand & gravel represented 46.3% share, while others (recycled and artificial aggregates)
      generated a further 12.7% of the market's 2010 share.
