Great Success under Global
Economic Crisis
The economic crisis started in the United States in 2008, which soon growing into a global crisis that
threatens every corner of the world. Many developed country has to face economic decline. China is also
facing a severe situation because of obvious drop of economic growth rate. Under such strong impact,
the 7th Beijing International Printing Technology Exhibition (China Print 2009) still opens according to
schedule from May 12 to 16, 2009.
Many exhibitors have decreased their booth space. Statistics shows that the total booth reduction has
exceeded 15,000 square meters. Even under this critical situation, the total show space of China Print
2009 has reached 110,000 square meters, occupying all eight halls of NCIEC. This figure has increase
by 20% comparing with 92,000 square meters of China Print 2005.
1284 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions has present their latest technologies and products at China
Print 2009. This figure has increased by 30% comparing with China Print 2005 (986).
The number of visitor entries has reached 162,580, which is slightly increased comparing with China
Print 2005 (160,000). Professionals from 108 countries and regions have attended the event.
China Print 2009 has achieved a great success. The size of show area, numbers of exhibitors and visitors
have all reached a new record. Exhibitors have also achieved great success during China Print 2009.
Numerous trade and cooperation agreements have been signed during the show period. The exhibition
has also brought a great support to the entire printing industry. It has strengthened the industry’s
confidence to overcome the global economic crisis.
The printing market size of a country or a region is decided by its economic developed status and
population. Printing industry is a sensitive index that is directly connected to economic development.
China Print 2009 shows a blink among the haze of global economic crisis. It brings the message that the
Chinese government has adopted a series of policies and act to boost the economic development. China
is on its way back to steady and rapid economic growth. We believe that the global economic crisis will
