                   2006 HISTORIC NATIONAL ROAD
                          YARD SALE DAYS
                          The Bicentennial of the National Road

There will be a yard sale from Baltimore, MD to St. Louis, MO form May 21 – June 4, 2006.

This event will commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the National Road, “America’s First
Interstate.” The states of Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
These states will join forces to provided people the opportunity to display their bargains and
treasures for 824 miles from Dawn to Dusk!!!

Antiques, furniture, glassware, fresh garden produce plus other collectibles will be available.
Individuals will also have the opportunity to traverse a historic byway, feel the pulse of
individual communities, sample local food and simply enjoy the “thrill of the hunt”!!!

All major Indiana TV stations, plus the AP wire service; CNN, Indiana News Network, World
News; Home & Away magazine, Budget Living, and the Weather Station (Atlanta) all covered
this great event.

                                 This will be an annual event.
         In 2007 plan on another year of roadside bargains from May 30th to June 3rd!!!

Merchants, participants and vendors are requested to comply with local ordinances, regulations
and permits.
