LSS – Freight Forwarding Module
The freight forwarding involves 2 freight forwarders or 2
offices of the same freight forwarder – one at the source or
the loading point and once at the destination or the
offloading point. So, typically for the same freight
forwarding job, the loading point will term it as an export
job and the destination point will term it as an import job.
LSS caters to the full implementation cycle of the Freight
Forwarding Process Flow. So, LSS – Freight Forwarding
Module typically caters to both – Import Freight Forwarding
and Export Freight Forwarding.
Freight Forwarding:
The Freight Forwarding will actually begin with the Enquiry
Sheet, Cost Sheet, Quotation and confirmation of the
business or quote.
Booking or Job:

The Freight Forwarding module will allow the user to
choose data from a particular quote. Once the user
selects the quote, all relevant data from the quote will
flow into the booking. The user can then update
additional fields into the booking screen including
container and charge details.

This module allows user to add job details and system
generates the job number. User enters details of
Freight Forwarding for the Customer and enters data
such as Name of the Importer, Exporter, Broker,
Seller, Buyer. The Port of Loading and Port of
Discharge details for each shipment are also entered.
Bill of Lading:

The preparation of Bill of Lading is done in 2 ways:

 Draft B/L data import from the shipper
 Choosing a booking at the time of creation of B/L so
  relevant data from booking will flow into Bill of Lading
