MINIMUM PRICE VARIATIONS
•   For the option classes converting to decimals, the minimum price variation will be $0.05 (a nickel)
    for premium under $3.00, and $0.10 (a dime) for premiums of $3.00 and above.

•   Option contracts that are not subject to decimal pricing continue to be subject to the minimum
    fractional parameters of Rule 952 - -1/8 for option contracts traded at $3 a contract or higher, and
    1/16 for option contracts trading under $3.

•   The converting options will continue to trade in fractional increments. There will be no changes to
    Opening/Closing times.

•   Member Firms are reminded that they must convert orders on their open order file for converting
    option classes (including Wrap, Merger, Leap, and Flex symbols) to decimals during after hours
    processing. Any applicable corporate actions are to be applied before converting prices to decimals.
    After converting to decimals:
        Ø The price on Buy orders (including buy Stop and buy Stop Limit orders) are to be rounded
          down to the nearest multiple of the MPV.
        Ø The price on Sell orders (including sell stop and sell Stop Limit orders) is to be rounded
          up to the nearest multiple of the MPV.

•   Member Firms that choose not to accept automatic conversion of their GTC orders for options
    converting to decimal pricing effective Monday, March 12th, must enter individual cancellations (in
    fractional format) prior to the close of business on Friday. Note: Fractional orders that are
    cancelled on Friday and re-entered in decimal format on Monday will not maintain their priority on
    the specialist book. For those options converting to decimal pricing, all Limit and Stop Limit Prices
    on GTC orders (paper and systematized) remaining on the specialist’s book at the Close on Friday,
    March 9th , will be automatically converted to decimals in accordance with the procedure previously
    announced by the Amex, and re-stated above.




INPUT TO SIAC
•   Normal production times for input to SIAC will be in effect for all Comparison and Post
    Trade services and applications.

•   Options As Of Status Request (AOS): (Datatrak 24046) Premium prices are to be submitted on
    Friday evening in decimal format for all orders.
•   Amex Limit Order Reconciliation (LOR): (Datatrak 11496) Submission is to be in decimals for
    all options being converted for this phase, in addition to those equities and options converted during
    earlier phases. Limit and Stop Limit Prices for options with Nasdaq underlyings that are not
    converting on March 12th are to be submitted in fractional format.

•   Intra-Day Comparison (IDC: Uncompared option trades in the converting options will be
    converted from fractions to decimals for resolution on Monday, March 12th. The fractional price on
    these uncompared records will be converted from their fractional value to their exact decimal
    equivalent (up to four decimal places), e.g., 1/16 th will be converted to .0625.

OUTPUT FROM SIAC
•   Normal production times for output from SIAC will be in effect for all Comparison and Post
    Trade services and applications.
•   Member Firms will receive only one transmission with prices as noted below.
    Merged Order Log (MOL) – Autoroute 01010523: Prices will be in fractions for converting
    options; in decimals for issues converted during earlier conversion phases.
    AOF Adds & Outs Report – Autoroute 01010571: Prices will be in fractions for converting
    options; in decimals for issues converted during earlier conversion phases.
    AOF Open Order Report – Autoroute 01010571: This report contains orders on AOF as they
    will appear at the start of the next trading day – with adjustments applied. Therefore, prices for
    orders in converting issues, and those converted during earlier phases, will be in decimals.
    AOF Adjustment Report – Autoroute 01010571: This report lists each AOF GTC order that was
    adjusted. Therefore, for converting options, it will show each order’s fractional price and converted
    decimal price.
    Options As Of Status Report – Autoroute 01180509: All prices will be expressed in decimals for
    all option orders as they have been since Monday, August 7, 2000.
    Limit Order Reconciliation (LOR) – “Discrepancy Report” – Autoroute 01010345: All prices
    will be expressed in decimals for all equities and options as they have been since Monday, August
    7, 2000.
    Options Contracts – Autoroute 01180072: This report contains executions as they were sent to
    OCC. Therefore prices for converting options will be in fractions; prices for options converted in
    earlier phases be displayed in decimals.


•   Machine Readable Output (MRO)
    Member Firms will receive only one transmission with prices as noted below.
    Merged Order Log (MOL/MRO) – Autoroute 01012391 & 01012392: Prices will be in fractions
    for converting options; in decimals for issues converted during earlier phases.
    AOF Open Order File – Autoroute 01010106: This report contains orders on AOF as they will
    appear at the start of the next trading day – with adjustments applied. Therefore, prices for orders in
    converting options will be in decimals, along with those converted during earlier phases.
    Compared/Uncompared MRO – Autoroute 01180303: Prices for converting options will be in
    fractions; prices for issues converted to decimals during earlier phases will be in decimals.
    AMEX Auto-Ex MRO – 01180300, 305, 306: Prices for converting options will be in fractions;
    prices for options converted during earlier phases will be in decimals.

MONDAY, MARCH 12, 2001
•   For converting options, first day of decimal trading.
•   Normal call times for the resolution of equity and options out trades (DKs/ROTNs), and Market
    Opening times will be in effect.
•   AOF Post-trade reports will be available in the “DK Room”.
•   Inquiries and questions regarding open orders are to be directed to the Amex Service Desk at
    212/306-1761, 1762, or 1763.
•   For the converted options, only orders with decimal prices will be accepted through the Exchange’s
    order processing systems, and by the specialists. Cancellation and Administrative Messages for
    converted orders must also be submitted in decimal format.
•   Intra-Day Comparison (IDC) System: All trade date and “as of” activity from March 9th in the
    converted options will be displayed in decimal form. All Comparison output will display the
    converted options in decimal form.
•   AOF Open Order File: At the start of day, all prior day GTC orders for converted options, will be in
    decimal format, with two decimal positions to the right of the decimal point. Cancellations,
    Cancel/Replacement Orders, and Administrative Messages for these orders must be entered in
    decimal format.
