Mother Nature wasn’t very nice to us last June for our first ever Barn Show featuring quilts displayed on the side of a gorgeous old barn just outside of Lanark. Although the rains were steady all day we were able to keep the quilts on the barn for the few brave souls that ventured out (check out the pictures on our web-site!). We’re hoping th for a bright sunny day on July 10 to give it another try. So mark your calendar! The show will be from 10-4 pretty much come rain or shine (if you are unsure please give the shop a call prior to traveling). A lunch stand will be available, as well as a few craft vendors & possibly a few other surprises! The address is 11570 Stone Bridge Road, Lanark, IL. Cost: $4 for driver, $2 for each person in the vehicle (age 11 & under free) Bus Hop! This was a great time for everyone, so of course we are planning another one! Although a date has not been set yet, we’re thinking it will be held in Oct. once again. If you missed the information about the last one, let me wet your appetite with a few details of how it works. Approximately eight shops will be involved. Each shop will be trying to fill a charter bus with their customers. Each bus will leave from their ‘home’ shop traveling in a rotation to all the other participating shops. Each bus will have about and hour and a half to shop at each shop. Each shop will supply either snacks or a meal (depending on your designated time of arrival). After visiting four shops your driver will take you to a motel for the evening. The next day takes you to the remaining four shops. At the end of day two you’ll be dropped off at your ‘home’ shop. So much fun was had by those that attended last time & just as they were, you’ll be pleasantly surprised that all of this fun is offered to you at a lost cost of approximately $120! That’s right—charter bus, motel stay, all your meals are included! Quilt Shop Hop! Mark the dates for this annual event that’s always a favorite. Nov. 5-6, 12-13. All shops will be open from 9-5. Look for a couple new shops to be added to the ‘circuit’! Sew many ANTIQUES 160 S.
