									                                      WHERE TO STAY
The information in the accommodation entries has been supplied by the establishment
concerned. While every effort has been taken by Greenwich Council to ensure accuracy, the
Council cannot accept responsibility for any alterations, errors, omissions or price changes. It is
advisable to confirm prices and other details with the establishment when making a reservation.

Symbols give information on the facilities offered. Some are applicable throughout; others such
as linen hire apply to self-catering properties only. All self-catering properties have fully
equipped kitchens with cooking facilities.

Assessors from Quality in Tourism, on behalf of Enjoy England, and the AA have inspected and
graded the establishments. The assessors look for clean, comfortable, well-furnished and well-
heated establishments. They sample mea ls and sleep overnight, except in self-catering
establishments and group and youth accommodation to judge the quality of the a tmosphere and
warmth of welcome.

                                  Hotels - What to expect . . .
 All bedrooms en suite or private bathroom. Designated reception facility and staff members
available during the day and evening (24 hours in case of emergency). Licence to serve alcohol.
Access to the hotel at all times for registered guests. Dinner served five nights a week. All
statutory obligations will be met.

 As above plus all bedrooms en suite Room service. Permanently staffed reception.
 As above plus 24-hour room service. 50% of all rooms with bath & shower.

Travelling to Greenwich
We recommend you use public transport

By Boat
Boats for Greenwich depart from Westminster, Waterloo, Bankside, Embankment and Tower piers at regular
intervals. The journey time is around 40 – 60 minutes by boat.

By Docklands Light Railway (DLR)
The DLR services Greenwich en route to Lewisham. It takes 20 minutes from Bank underground station or from
Tower Gateway; 10 minutes from Canary Wharf (Jubilee line) and 5 minut es from Lewisham. There are also
connecting services to Strat ford, Beckton, Woolwich Arsenal and London City Airport. Alight at Cutty Sark for
Maritime Greenwich.

By Train
Trains for Greenwich leave from London Charing Cross, Waterloo East, Cannon Street via London Bridge.
Journey time from London Bridge is 10 minutes.

By Bus
The following buses come to Greenwic h town centre:
188 (Russell Square to North Greenwich), 129 (North Greenwich to Greenwich); 177 (Thamesmead to Peckham);
180 (B elvedere to Lewis ham ); 199 (Canada Water to Catford); 286 (Sidcup to Greenwich via Eltham); 386
(Blackheath Village to Woolwich). The 53 (Whitehall to Plumstead) passes the Blackheath entrance to Greenwich
Park but does not come into the town cent re.

By Road
The A206 into Greenwic h can be accessed from the A2 or A20 (the London to Dover road). Drivers coming south
on the M11 should continue on the A12 to Blackwall Tunnel and exit on the A206. Car parks in the town centre are
frequently busy, especially at week ends.
