Do You Need A Tooth Extraction?
Like most Americans some time in your life, you will have to see a dentist. If you really take good care of your teeth, you might be one of the lucky
ones and never be in a dentist's chair. Sometimes you can take extra good care of our teeth and still end up having to go to the dentist because you
might end up with bad teeth because of no fault of your own. Some of these problems of your teeth can be handed down from your parents. Most of
the time it has to do with not taking good enough care of them. If you have to go to the dentist he will first take some pictures of your teeth, these are
called ex-rays, and they will tell and show this dentist what the problem is. What he will tell you next will probably cost you a lot in the end. If he can fix
this tooth he will start by drilling a hole around the bad section of your tooth. He will then seal off this area to keep out any more germs and then put in
a filling that will harden like your own tooth. This filling is made of metal, and they have to make sure that it's leveled. If this filling isn't leveled you will
have problems biting down on something, and you might be back in there to get this filling redone. When you first get this filling you might have the
taste of metal, but it will go away in a couple of hours. I forgot that the worst part of all of this is that they have to give you a shot to put your mouth and
teeth asleep. This will last a couple of hours, and you aren't to eat or drink anything too hot or too cold during this time. If your tooth is too bad, they will
have to extract this tooth. To do this kind of extraction, they will have to use some pretty strange-looking tools to remove the tooth. Once the tooth is
removed they will pack this hole with cotton so no air will get into the hole and a blood clot can form. Don't remove this cotton too soon because if you
do, you can end up with a dry socket. These really hurt and you will end up having to go back to their office a couple of times to have it repacked.
