the TEAM, the TECHNOLOGY IMH AUXILIARY KICKS-OFF ANNUAL QUILT RAFFLE AT MILFORD FUN DAYS DATE: JUNE 18, 2009 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Milford, Illinois— The Iroquois Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is kicking off its Annual Quilt Raffle at Milford Fun Days on Saturday, June 20th. The Auxiliary will have a booth from 11AM-2:30 PM in the Welcome Center at the Milford Park. This year’s quilt is a Dresden Plate pattern—which was one of the most popular quilt patterns throughout the 1920s and 1930s. It consists of blocks of fabric sewn in a series of circulating “petals” with flat sides. The quilt was purchased from a local group, the Knot Just Quilters. The blocks were made by the Knot Just Quilters; the setting and finishing was Above: IMH Auxiliary members, done by Carol Shortsleeve; and the Reta Dowling (rt) and Dalia quilting was done by the Donovan Laucius show off this year’s quilt United Methodist Quilters. that will be raffled.
