Located near Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is a city popular for the tomb of a Sufi Saint Salim
Chisti. The mosque resembles the mosque at Mecca and is visited by people from all over
the world. According to the legend the Mughal emperor Akbar got his first heir with the
blessings of the saint Salim Chisti.
Sikandra is located 13 km off Agra Fort and is known for the tomb of the Mughal
Emperor Akbar. The secular nature of the emperor clearly and beautifully reflects in his
own mausoleum which is a fine blend of Hindu, Islamic, Buddhist, Jain and Christian
styles of architecture. Standing tall with the three storied red sandstone minarets, the
tomb is known as Sikandra.
