Webinar on
Corrosion Management from Maintenance Perspective
1430 hrs, 9th July 2010
Corrosion management is essentially a maintenance activity which leads to unplanned maintenance and loss of
productivity and need due importance and awareness in minimize corrosion losses. The serious consequences
of the corrosion can be seen in the form of degradation, plant shutdowns due to machine / equipment failure,
corrosion of equipments during storage & transit, corrosion at joints, loss or contamination of product, reduction
in efficiency, costly maintenance and replacement of corroded equipment.
To help engineers to understand corrosion so that they can solve existing corrosion problems and prevent future
ones, CII L M Thapar Centre for Competitiveness for SMEs is organizing an interaction with the subject
expert Dr U Kamachi Mudali, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research to deliberate on maintenance
perspective of corrosion management via WEBINAR on 9th July 2010 at 1430 hrs.
The internet based training is the most effective method with respect to cost and time. It completely eliminates
the need for the participants & faculty to be present together in one physical class room. We are passing on the
full cost benefit to you, ensuring however that the impact of training is maintained completely. Also, Recording of
the webinar and Power Point presentation will be made available for your convenience. The simple
requirements for joining the Webinar are 1) Laptop/Desktop with Internet Connection & 2)
Phone/mobile. The procedure for joining the Webinar shall be guided to the participant after receiving the
confirmation.
The Webinar would be relevant for Senior and Middle Level Managers, project engineers, quality assurance
managers, paint applicators, maintenance personnel and Engineers associated with the research and
development, production, operation and maintenance of systems from the industries such as Automobile, Oil &
Gas, Aluminium, Steel, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Cement, fertilizers, Pulp & Papers, Glass, Sugar,
Pharmaceutical, Textiles, Power Plants etc. and people from the Research Institutes who are interested in this
subject.
Kindly take advantage of this unique training program by nominating suitable executives from your
organization at the earliest. You may kindly confirm your nomination by returning the attached
Registration Form, duly filled-in. I am sure that this webinar will provide immense awareness, learning
and sharing opportunities for your organisation to solve day to day corrosion related problems .
I look forward to have nomination(s) from your esteemed organisation.
