   I. PowerPoint
          A. If you do not have an icon on your desktop for MS PowerPoint, click on
Start, Programs, MS PowerPoint to open the program.
          B. The PowerPoint dialog box (as appears in Illustration A) will appear and
you must choose a method for creating a presentation or opening an
             existing presentation.
          C. When creating a new presentation, the Design Templates will be the
default selection. Design Templates are presentation slides already
designed and may later be edited.
          D. Click on OK

II. Select a Design Template (refer to Illustration B), then click OK. When
making your selection, keep in mind your audience and the size of the room
where the presentation will be shown when making this decision. Colors are
not as much of an issue because these can be edited later. The type and size of
fonts, however, should be carefully considered, although these can also be
edited later. (See steps VII through X – Editing and Customizing a Design
          Template).

ii. If Clip Art, click on the picture and Insert into Document, close
                     the window
iii. A picture from your file will be a picture you have previously
placed in a folder on your computer. This can be a picture taken
with a digital camera or scanned. It can even be a graphic design.
The graphic should be either a .jpg or .gif file. It is best if the
picture is in the same folder where your presentation is being
saved. By double clicking on the file name, the graphic will be
                     placed on your slide master.
iv. Use the handles at any corner of the graphic to readjust the size of
the picture. The graphic can also be relocated on the slide by
                     dragging and dropping.
